Great card for gaming on a Dell T3420 SFF
Pros: - Great gaming performance. - Compact, fits inside small-form-factor system. - Doesn't require external power; operates entirely from PCIe power. - Plenty of outputs to connect pretty much any kind of monitor. - Includes both full size and low profile brackets so it will work in either type of system.
Cons: - PCIe connector only aligns with 4x slot on Dell T3420 SFF system, but this is not Gigabyte's fault.
Overall Review: I wanted to upgrade the GPU in a Dell T3420 small form factor system that was issued to me by work so I could play games on it, so I tried this card out and it fit almost perfectly. The only caveat is that the T3420 only has two slots, a 16x slot meant for the GPU and a 4x slot. When installed in the machine the edge connector can only go into the 4x slot. However, this issue is Dell's fault, not Gigabyte's! I'm only mentioning it here for others who may be buying the card so they are informed. HOWEVER, it's not a big deal. I've not noticed any real performance issues running the card in a 4x slot. So if you need a gaming video card for your Dell small form factor box, this should do the job! Five stars from me.
Macbook Pro, solid as a rock!
Pros: Been running this module in my Macbook Pro (total of 2GB with the 1GB factory shipped SODIMM) for a couple of months now, and the machine has been rock solid. Great price if you need to upgrade your Macbook Pro's memory!
Cons: There's nothing to complain about! I like complaining. ;)
