Great Camera

Canon PowerShot A3100 IS Red 12.1 MP 4X Optical Zoom Digital Camera
Canon PowerShot A3100 IS Red 12.1 MP 4X Optical Zoom Digital Camera

Pros: This is a nice camera. The color is outstanding. My wife loves it. The camera turns on within the blink of an eye to catch moments lost to waiting for power up on most cameras. The photo quality is excellent! I dare say that if photos were to be compared between this Canon and a high end SLR, you would not be able to tell the difference. Battery life is FABULOUS!! My last camera ate batteries. This Canon came with a rechargable battery and charger. I have only had to charge the battery 2 times in 3 months. I use both video and photo functions too.

Cons: There are NONE!

ECS Z77H2

ECS Z77H2-A4 v1.1 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
ECS Z77H2-A4 v1.1 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

Pros: Met desires for replacing faulty A$R0ck MB and future expansion. 4 slots for memory max 32GB, 2nd video card slot. 6 SATA ports. Free MiniPCIE

Cons: **1st MB had an issue with the 24 pin connector. Newegg was quick with the RMA. ECS replied but did the typical troubleshooting. Since the problem was physical, TS wasn't necessary. **Location of the SATA ports. Hard to get to when the MB is installed. This is dependent on the case used. **This MB was picky to set up at first. It would hang on initial start-up. I couldn't get into the BIOS or boot directory. I resorted to bare minimum components. It hung again. Cleared CMOS. Hung another 3 times. Smooth as silk after that. After each shutdown, I added a single component. Components were simple P&P (3 GSkill RAM, Video card, Sound Card, 2 additional HD)

Overall Review: Aside from this instances frustrations, I have owned 3 ECS boards and have been very satisfied. I was not dissatisfied with the customer service of ECS; they were just the typical step by step you get from anyone. Therefore I went with the quickest solution.

Nice power supply

Antec EarthWatts Green EA-430D Green 430W Continuous power ATX12V v2.3 / EPS 12V 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply
Antec EarthWatts Green EA-430D Green 430W Continuous power ATX12V v2.3 / EPS 12V 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: This has everything I need and then some for future upgrades if I desire. I watched the newegg utube vid on the power draw and then tested it at home. I have yet to draw more than 80w or so. The 80mm fan is unnoticable.

Cons: zero cons. I think some may go overboard with wattage (all depends on the build). As a reference/experiment, I have been running a GForce 8800 GTS off of a no name 300W power supply for over a year with no problems. Nvidia recommends 400W and some rating sites show the 8800 to pull 200W in full use ans 130W idle. Thowing in the Intel E6750 CPU, MoBo, 4GB RAM, rest of the computer etc etc and the power supply carries it all. Point here is that the average user/casual gamer doesn't need a million watts. Read reviews, follow manufacturer recommendations. I am taking risks in my experiment

Oh my goodness, best case ever!!

RAIDMAX Reiter ATX-305WB Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
RAIDMAX Reiter ATX-305WB Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: I bought this because it was inexpensive, has 2-120mm fans and requires no tools. I am also prefer the PS on the bottom. I am impressed with this case. The fans are the quietest fans I have not heard in a while. Air flow is quite nice. I used a Micro ATX MB so I have plenty of room; would have plenty of room if I had used any size board. I love the hard drive racks that are user friendly and lightweight. The case looks nice and that is a plus. The front grills all have filter material. There are a bunch of little things that show that Raidmax was paying attention to details.

Cons: This is not really a con but a note: Things fit tight because there is no hardware to hold drives in place. You do not have to be a gorrilla to put this together. However, if you assemble your computer by throwing parts at it from accross the room, you will break it. I always advise reading the instructions too.

Overall Review: I am going to buy another just because I like it. This was my shopping list: Kaybles Model HDMI-S-6 6 ft. ASUS EN210 SILENT/DI/1GD3/V2(LP) GeForce 210 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Low Profile Ready Video Card Manufactured Recertified

Pros: Great card for its purpose. I bought this card because it does not require direct power and it does not have it's own fan. I also wanted the HDMI port. Therefore, it fit my needs PERFECT. I have great display after installing the NVidia drivers and I am very pleased.

Cons: The only con here is the size and weight of the heat sink. I think ASUS could have used thinner aluminium. Keeping in mind that there is no dedicated fan, it works fine.

It's a Keyboard

Rosewill RK-800G Black 104 Normal Keys PS/2 Wired Gaming Keyboard
Rosewill RK-800G Black 104 Normal Keys PS/2 Wired Gaming Keyboard

Pros: Plug and play action with soft keystrokes. It has silver keys to replace the A<W<S<D which is a pretty neat thought for those of us that need to look at the keyboard. The PS/2 plug keeps a USB port free.

Cons: Good keyboard. It is NOT a flimsy piece of plastic like some.
