Outstanding Value
Pros: Neat compact design. Great Monitoring software! Many configuration options. I am running this on a Pentium D based system with a 600 Watt supply. My load is only 22-25% at idle.
Cons: Unit tends to run warm once it is pluggged in. Heat is constant and not related to load conditions. Warmth is restricted to front/top of unit. Ventilation may be an issue. This MAY affect battery life.
Overall Review: I have using only APC brand UPS devices for the past 10 years. I must say this BELKIN unit seems to be just as reliable if not better than APC units with similar ratings. The software is much better and more informative than the APC software.
Innovative but limited
Pros: This is my second Apevia case that I have purchased from Newegg since 2006. The other was a full tower case tha I am veryy happy with. (discontinued) The side panel fan is huge (260mm I think). Two diffrent temp sensors and gauges are built in (CPU and HDD temp). The case is relativley light and does NOT require any tools to install drives. A built-in latching mechanism is used for this. (see below).
Cons: The case utilizes a pressure/latching mechanism to hold drives in place. This is an innovative design but makes it impossible to secure the drives with screws. The floppy drive still moves a bit if pressed! The drive bay assemblies are fixed and cannot be removed so the drives are only secured from one side. This overall size of the side panel fan is a bit imposing and reduces the amount of internal (side-to-side) clearance by a couple of inches. This in turn limits the size of the CPU fan that can fit inside a loaded case. The CPU fan should be a low-profile type unless you remove the side panel fan.
Overall Review: This case could be dramatically improved if the drive bays were removable (like my full tower case) and that drives could be attached with philips-screws in lieu of the pressure/latching slider bars. There is NO front fan. I doubt it is possible to install one. The hard drives are mounted "sideways" with the rear of the drive facing the side panel door. So you may need longer HDD cables to reach the motherboard.
Better than than a grade "B"
Pros: Received item in three days. Packed well. Item was in very good condition when received. Just two small scratches on top of case.
Cons: No windows install (recovery) DVD.
Overall Review: I WOULD recommend this product and seller.
Lots of Reserve Power
Pros: Well built and easy to install. Probably more power than I need until I upgrade the video card.
Cons: All connectors are black. This may initially be confusing. No rear fan or manual fan adjustment.
Overall Review: The various 12 volt bus lines are NOT labeled. This would help a lot when you are trying to balance the load among the various lines. For instance, you would (ideally) want to connect your video card to the bus line with the lightest load.
Easy Upgrade
Pros: As noted by other reviewers this memory is a GREAT compliment to many of the DELL Laptops. No BIOS changes are required.
Cons: May be tricky to install due to layout in underside of Laptop.
Overall Review: Installed as additional memory in a DELL Inspiron 6000. Now running with 1.5 gig using Windows XP. No problems.
Great Value
Pros: Great Memory for the price.
Cons: Bulky size (due to heat spreader) may make it hard to install
Overall Review: Mo/Bo - ASUS P5LD2 Deluxe Need to tweak BIOS to set for 5-5-5-12 timing.
Great Service
Rcv'd mdse on 2 days via overnite mail. Items (hard drives) seem to be in good working order
