Pros: The card comes with two SATA cables and an ATA cable (even as OEM). The card has its own BIOS. The instructions are detailed and well-written.

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: This is the first product that I've purchased from PROMISE and I'll definetly be purchasing more of their products in the future. This card is high quality and it worth the extra couple of bucks. If you're looking for an SATA(II) hard disk controller, spend the extra money - it will save you a major headache in the long run.

Pros: I learned a heck of alot about SATA trying to get this thing to work. :-)

Cons: This card nearly caused me to RMA my new Seagate hard drive. I couldn't get any type of indication that this disk drive was being detected properly and needless to say I couldn't figure out if there was nything wrong with the new disk drive.

Overall Review: In the end I just coughed up the extra money that I should have in the first place and bought a card manufactured by PROMISE - do yourself a favor and do the same.

Pros: The hard drive is humongous; fairly quick and extremely quiet.

Cons: I'm not sure why, but like others, the hard drive is only detected as 298.09 GB (UNFORMATTED) in my system.

Overall Review: The price is excellent for this hard drive so if you need a new disk drive, go for it. Be sure to check your system to make sure that it is compatible (mainboard supports SATA/II, supports a disk drive of this capacity), if it's not you should pick up a PCI hard disk controller as well.

Pros: The ends fit snuggly on the SATA connectors. The cable is just the right length for my case.

Cons: I really haven't noticed and cons so far.

Pros: The screws are large enough to be fastened by hand but are not too large.

Cons: The shipping costs more than the screws do. How's that for ironic? :-)

Pros: Does what its supposed to do.

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: What more can I say? Go for it!
