Switched from ASUS

Pros: Great Board! Replaced my faulty ASUS P8P67 PRO. Perfect POST. OC was a breeze. Running 4.8Ghz - with a click of the mouse. 41 degrees C. Don't let the name fool you. My next board will be ASRock. I gave it 5 Eggs because I couldn't choose 6.
Cons: Documentation could be improved. OC options may be too simple for some - especially if you like to overtweak everything.
Overall Review: i7-2600K G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Model F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM - worked perfectly without tweaking. Crucial RealSSD-SATA III (OS only)
DOA - new trend for Asus

Pros: Newegg Standard Return Policy. This will allow me to replace this board with another brand - assuming the RMA MB is just as poor. No question the board looks really cool. I'd pay an extra $50 if it actually worked.
Cons: MB won't power up. Similar to every other poor soul who purchased this board. Quality control at Asus must really be slipping. Too bad. Can't seem to find a positive review on this board in the month of May.
Overall Review: It's been a long time since I built a PC from scratch. I took my kids through the process to expose them to this really cool hobby. My 11 year old's takeaway...'OK, so we stay away from ASUS MBs.' First impressions are lasting impressions.
Solid Platform - Older CPU

Pros: The processor on this model is the I7-2600 (circ. 2011). I was surprised they used that old of a CPU but the overall build is solid. Plenty of room in the case and 32G DDR3 and a 1TB SSD is very capable. Runs very quite. Good initial platform for a gaming station even with the older CPU. Running a 1660Ti at 126fps (Apex Legends) with MAX game resolution settings and 1920/1080 /144 monitor settings. Will likely upgrade over time but for now this is very acceptable.
Overall Review: Would recommend as a solid initial platform.
Fantastic Deal – Gorgeous Finish

Pros: Awesome sound. Replaced a 1990s vintage Bose AM-5 (cube) system for a home theater FL/FR. What a difference! I debated picking up the Klipsch Reference 62s but the Icon-W was a smaller footprint and fits better in my configuration - and you can't beat the price. They are very nicely packed in a durable protective sleeve cushioned with 3 styrofoam braces.
Cons: For a HT setup I would have preferred a front firing base port.
Overall Review: The Cabernet finish is wonderful. I've ALWAYS had black speakers but I made a leap in this case and I'm very glad I did. I am always leary of color matching with Internet photos. But in this case it was a near perfect match from what I saw on the Newegg site. The color is similar to Brazilian Cherry - very rich Red/Brown tones. The color shown on the Klipsch website is WRONG. These are not cheap pinkish red, these are deep red/brown - Cabernet is the correct name for them. They look even better with the covers off.
