They work
Pros: Cheap and bridgable within windows 7.
Cons: Consume a bit of processing power especially when bridged for 220MB's throughput. But then again, this is no INTEL server card either.
Overall Review: Next time I will make sure all future motherboards come with dual nic's with same chipset.
Hmmm....
Pros: Works great when you don't touch bios. I love the 3 PCI-e ports, the extra 8x slot seems a bit slow when I connected my RAID card to it. Got 10% boost when connected to the 16x slot even though it's a areca 1280ml - 8x v1.0 card. Things that make you go hmm... I'm using the integrated Vid, so all is fine at leaving it in the 16x slot.
Cons: I don't get this dual bios joke. I attempted a bios update. Sure enough their drivers provided don't work with update requirements something about the intel Rapid cheez. But anyway, I got the Orange Screen of Bios death. NO where, I mean NO where in the manual or on their website does it state how to recover bios. There were others out there on the web who state though must short two pins on the bios, hold power and reset, yada-yada... It was far easier to return it and get another board.
Overall Review: make a push button for recovery mode Gigibites.
Prettttyyyyy
Pros: Big and bright, perhaps a bit too bright, but the true 10bit color from my quadro 600 makes a great pair. No dead pixels
Cons: Price...but this is no consumer grade product.
works
Pros: Works
Cons: Overly priced for specs...purchased for one reason only to get my display port with 10bit color to work for my video editing. It's nice to know I am looking at true color on my 30" ips display.
Overall Review: Whatever...Nvidia just enable this option in my gaming card, that way I can have the HW accelleration and 10bit color. 2 video cards, this 600 and the GTX550 works wonder in CS5 and now great color toboot.
Works great
Pros: Works very well, Once you get into the switch config. No where in the docs did it state that only once computer can be connected to it or Router for that matter. Once all other junk disconnected, easy to set IP and subnet to allow my entrence into the beautiful and simple to understand menu system of the procurve.
Cons: Documentation seems a bit vague here and there, they tried, but failed to mention the one dificulty in connecting and setting up config. I love the AD and..oh yea, in the config you can enable Jumbo frames, not mentioned in documentation or marketng stuff.
Overall Review: Kicken switch for the money. I get 6ms avg. access times, it that normal? I was hoping for faster. I get 2ms to 16ms range from a ping back.
Works as expected
Pros: Intel software was a breeze, setup dynamic AD trunking. Awsome...I get 450MB's through the pipe. Perfect for the small rendering farm.
Cons: Pricey...Seems like a $200 product not 400...
