Cons: Yes, it's a pain to install if using the trial version. In fact if you have a trial version, get rid of it by using windows to uninstall. Use the boxed install disc and enter the activation code as the serial when asked and include the dashes!

Overall Review: Yep, a little bit of a pain, but I think this is one of the best photo editors around and have used it since JASC.
