OCZ Gold Series 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 667 (PC2 5400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ26672048ELDCGE-K
OCZ Gold Series 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 667 (PC2 5400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ26672048ELDCGE-K

Pros: excellent memory. haven't overclocked yet

Cons: loses a star because the rebate terms are harsh...the rebate lasted from 6/01 to 6/11, and the rebate submission had to be postmarked by 06/21. that's barely enough time to get shipment and test it out. lame.

great switch. bad rebate

NETGEAR 5-Port Gigabit Unmanaged Switch (GS605NA)
NETGEAR 5-Port Gigabit Unmanaged Switch (GS605NA)

Pros: setup was a breeze. nice looking. small.

Cons: their rebate center moved. rebate was returned to sender. I will try sending it to their new location, which is apparently: PO BOX 28562 MIAMI FL 33102-8562

slick, quiet case

SilverStone Sugo SG01-SF Silver Aluminum / Steel MicroATX Desktop SFF Chassis Computer Case
SilverStone Sugo SG01-SF Silver Aluminum / Steel MicroATX Desktop SFF Chassis Computer Case

Pros: - brushed aluminum front panel is classy - plenty of room for a long graphics card - very efficient use of space on the interior - rebate came in no time (about 2 weeks) - very quiet - the overall feel is very solid

Cons: - the brushed aluminum inserts for the 5.25" bays is of different stock (not as bright as the front panel itself)

Overall Review: - works nicely with a ASUS M4A78-EM Micro ATX AMD mobo and AMD Phenom II X4 940 Deneb 3.0GHz cpu - it worked with my 600W ATX PS (XION XON-600F14T-201) , but i ended up going with a modular 500W ATX power supply (OCZ ModXStream Pro OCZ500MXSP) so that there was a bit more room to maneuver in there

so far so good

XFX PVT42EUDE3 GeForce 6800XT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card

Pros: - solidly built - dual DVI output - SLI-capable - pretty quiet

Cons: - it's SLI-capable, but doesn't have SLI 4-pin connector. It uses the basic 4-pin connector. I bought a PSU with SLI support and it turns out i didn't need to.
