FSB/HT/CPU of 260/1040/2730

AMD Athlon 64 4000+ - Athlon 64 San Diego Single-Core 2.4 GHz Socket 939 89W Processor - ADA4000DAA5BN
AMD Athlon 64 4000+ - Athlon 64 San Diego Single-Core 2.4 GHz Socket 939 89W Processor - ADA4000DAA5BN

Pros: After a few days of tweaking and stability testing, I've settled to a FSB/HT/CPU of 260/1040/2730, with stock voltages (stock speeds 200/1000/2400). I had it at 250*11 with +0.025v, but still had a Prime95 error in the first hour. I also ran it at 2875mhz for a while too, which ran fine, but also had a Prime95 error. So, the cpu was the limiting factor; but for an OEM cpu, I'm very happy w/ the speed I've achieved. Runs very cool too, w/ the Big Typhoon.

Cons: none

Overall Review: I'm surprised by just how much faster this is than my AthlonXP @ 2.1ghz (220*9.5). With the HT multiplier at 5x, I was only able to achieve a FSB/HT of 210/1050. So don't forget to lower the HT multiplier to achieve higher FSB speeds!

Most Critical Review

Fantastic, except for the middle mouse button

Logitech VX Revolution Black 8 Buttons Tilt Wheel Cordless Laser Mouse
Logitech VX Revolution Black 8 Buttons Tilt Wheel Cordless Laser Mouse

Pros: -great feel and movement -the integral usb dongle is handy.

Cons: A bit small for me; I don't understand why 'notebook mouse' must equate to 'small mouse.' If it started to approach the size and weight of a notebook, maybe it'd make sense...now, marketing them as small/normal/large mice would make sense, to fit peoples' hands; like a glove, so to speak. But, the size is ok, overall. The biggest annoyance is that the middle mouse button tends to 'scroll' instead of 'click', causing the middle click to not register; or worse, select the wrong thing after scrolling. I can also imagine that being a problem for gamers who use the scroll and middle button. Anyway, in comparison, my MX900 is perfect is this regard.

Overall Review: My wife likes the VX better, and I like the MX900 better; so there's an easy solution...

Very quiet (unfortunately my water cooler isn't that quiet)

ASIAHORSE Graphic Card Cooler 3 x 92mm PWM Fan WIth Led Frame,Support ASUS Aura SYNC/MSI Mystic Sync/ASROCK Aura RGB/GIGABYTE RGB Fusion (5V 3 Pin Addressable headers)
ASIAHORSE Graphic Card Cooler 3 x 92mm PWM Fan WIth Led Frame,Support ASUS Aura SYNC/MSI Mystic Sync/ASROCK Aura RGB/GIGABYTE RGB Fusion (5V 3 Pin Addressable headers)

Pros: It seems very quiet - I was worried there would be fan/frame noise/rattles. I'm not really into RGB lighting, but is a nice design w/o being gaudy.

Cons: As another reviewer noted, this is -NOT- PWM. I would almost take off 2 eggs for that, but it works fine w/ my MSI B550I bios' fan controller in DC mode.

Overall Review: I have this mounted externally to my Fractal µATX case for my Asus 2070 SUPER, is its fan controller doesn't work. I cut out most of the perforated metal, and bent a couple staples to hang it. Worked very well, running the wires through the PCIe slot mount clamp. This board uses JRAINBOW, and I have it powered through the System fan header. Since its mounted outside the case, some light comes out the front (end), but not that big a deal. Side note: I tried OpenRGB but it only set it to a static red (and it also messed up my Redragon keyboard lighting) and didn't change modes, so I installed the Mystic Light app to reset it and test the other modes.

Nice little portable power brick

SABRENT 10000 mAh Mini Power Bank Portable Charger - One Cable Solution (PB-YS10)
SABRENT 10000 mAh Mini Power Bank Portable Charger - One Cable Solution (PB-YS10)

Pros: Small with easy-to-read capacity display; great for travel! Last I checked, 10000 mAh is the max that most airlines allow.

Cons: Two different section of the marketing text insinuate that the USB-C port can also be used for charginge. One somewhat indirect: "Charge ... through 3 Inputs: Micro USB/Type C/Lightning Use the same cable to charge your Power Bank and your devices" To be fair, the picture shown has is subtitled as an input. The other text is direct though: "Type-C output allows to recharge all compatible devices". Also, the devices abruptly stopped working after a month. After having issues with their support site, Sabrent did eventually send a replacement which has worked fine ever since.

Overall Review: Overall, I recommend but have to take 2 eggs away due to the aforementioned problems.

Much better than expected

Green Project Compatible Ink Cartridge Replacement for Canon PGI220 & CLI221 (4 PGI220 & 2 Black, 2 Cyan, 2 Magenta, 2 Yellow CLI221) 12 Pack
Green Project Compatible Ink Cartridge Replacement for Canon PGI220 & CLI221 (4 PGI220 & 2 Black, 2 Cyan, 2 Magenta, 2 Yellow CLI221) 12 Pack

Pros: I was worried about ink quality, but have had no issues including with photos, even over long periods without printing at all; my original order was 03 Dec 2016.

Overall Review: I'm just finally running out of ink again, and need to reorder, so thought I'd give my experience with this product. :-)

Great when the laptop BIOS lets it work...

Monoprice Mini PCIe Wireless LAN 802.11b/g/n Adapter
Monoprice Mini PCIe Wireless LAN 802.11b/g/n Adapter

Pros: The Lenovo 3000 c100 works great with it, replacing a super slow (in Linux) Broadcom BCM94312MCG (bcm4312) b/g adapter.

Cons: I initially tried it in an HP Pavilion dv7-2277cl, but the BIOS wouldn't boot due to an 'unrecognized wireless card'.

Overall Review: It's a Ralink chipset using driver netr28x in Win10; in Linux 4.15 it shows up as Ralink RT3090 802.11n 1T/1R PCIe using rt2800/rt2x00 drivers.
