Good but be careful
Pros: Case is small and fits into a rack nicely. Layout is plain which is good. No waste in space with separate bars that do nothing. This is entirely an open case to allow maximum air flow.
Cons: No fans! I am kind of shocked that there are no fans with this type of unit. I would of preferred iStar to include fans and just raise the price a little bit. They included a power bar for the fans, but NO fans. I can't even run the unit closed right now because I need to order fans.
Only fan that is low profile for AM1
Pros: only fan that I could find for an AM1 processor that is low profile. But this is not surprising as the cost of the processor is so cheap that most people would not manufacture a fan for an inexpensive processor.
Cons: Price, but it's a monopoly since there really isn't any other company that offers low profile for this socket.
works, but heavy
Pros: the buttons on this keyboard are nice. They are full size keys which really make a difference when typing. The paring is rather simple and easy to do. Wish mine came with batteries. . . as it was refurbished, it was missing the batteries. Not a big deal. Nice to have three profiles for keyboard selection. I work in an office and it's nice to just bring my keyboard from my desk to the conference room and just have it work with out having to re-pair. (just flip the switch)
Cons: weight, this thing is heavy for a portable keyboard. The little cut out on top of the keyboard I find that I really won't use it as i have it paired with a computer at the moment. I tried to fit my cell phone in the slot, but with my case around my cell phone it won't fit. So this is completely useless as a keyboard for my phone. the Alt button and ctrl has to be used with the fn key which is weird also. If you don't use alt and ctrl very often this doesn't matter but if you use them alot, then dont buy this keyboard it will drive you nuts.
Overall Review: still a great keyboard for the price. Plus the ease of use is rather nice. Keys are nice. I wouldn't pay full price.
great mouse bluetooth
Pros: the mouse performs well with bluetooth, and pairs easily with windows. Speed is acceptable. Great travel mouse. Not to small, but not big enough for long computer sessions. I would recommend just for laptop quick in and done use.
Cons: Don't expect to do Photoshop with this mouse. This makes for a great travel mouse. But the accuracy just like any wireless device is not there. If your looking for exact high DPI laser tracking then this mouse is NOT IT. There are other mice from logitech that are better suited for this.
Overall Review: just don't use this to load a new pc with. You might end up having to use the dongle to get the os to initially see the mouse, then switch it over to bluetooth once the system is loaded. But i expect this is the same with any bluetooth device.
Not edge to edge
Pros: Very bright, many different modes for different lighting situations. Comfortable to look at. IPS monitor. ok for gaming. Contrast ratio is 1000:1 not 80 million to 1. I like the matte finish on the screen makes it easy to view from multiple areas and is not affected by over head lighting.
Cons: no VESA mount, does not go edge to edge with video. Black border around entire monitor. But it does still measure 27" from corner to corner of viewable area. Bezel is very small but the black bar around the entire screen is kind of a downer, it would have been nice to have it stretch the full size and drop off on the edges. But for the price I guess I can't complain.
Overall Review: I would have given this monitor five stars except the missing full screen edge to edge really ticked me off.
