HMM..... I love AMD but couldn't get anything with this performance in price range... easy decision based on htpc needs

Intel Core i3-12100 - Core i3 12th Gen Alder Lake Quad-Core 3.3 GHz LGA 1700 Processor 60W Intel UHD Graphics 730 Desktop Processor - BX8071512100
Intel Core i3-12100 - Core i3 12th Gen Alder Lake Quad-Core 3.3 GHz LGA 1700 Processor 60W Intel UHD Graphics 730 Desktop Processor - BX8071512100

Pros: This is replacing i7-3770S...and d### it, I hate to say it but this is light years ahead and better. That i7-3770S had put such a warm and loving place in my heart, I hate to see it go, but I needed Windows 11 and more performance....It was just that moment we hate to upgrade something that has been so dependable and never missed the job at hand, ...for over 10 years... but this little i3-12100 is just light years ahead of legacy technology and it's the passing of the torch.

Cons: What am I supposed to do with my poor i7-3770S CPU and mobo now?? 10 years strong...never missed a beat... Bitter Sweet moment....

Overall Review: This is my little rig now: CASE: Silverstone GB-07C CPU: i3-2100 (provided cooler is good enough) PSU: Apevia 800W GPU: XFX RX 6700 XT RAM: 16G 3200 (Team Force) Mobo: ASUS PRIME B660M-A D4 Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge.... We will all miss you and we salute you.... You changed the game and direction of the CPU's forever. You set the standard that lasted a decade for most of us. Thank you

Dead Pixels

Hanns·G HG-281DPB Black 28" 3ms Widescreen LCD HDMI Monitor 500 cd/m2 800:1 Built-in Speakers
Hanns·G HG-281DPB Black 28" 3ms Widescreen LCD HDMI Monitor 500 cd/m2 800:1 Built-in Speakers

Pros: This thing is huge; I don't think people really know how big this thing really is until you take it out of the box and set it on your desk. The size is perfect. Along mine had dead pixels (really annoying I must say) the response time was amazing. It was blazing. It blew my Viewsonic away in the gaming department. That stand for this monitor is great; both height and tilt. You can even turn the monitor about 70 degrees or so.

Cons: Out of the box: WAY TOO BRIGHT. make sure you turn down the contrast and brightness; otherwise you'll be blind in a month. Mine also had dead pixels; that's a "No-GO" for spending almost $700.

Overall Review: Do some research on this monitor on other sites before you buy it; you'll see a trend of "Dead Pixels". If you can get your hands on one of these and it doesn't have any issues with the screen then BUY IT and HOLD ON IT FOR LIFE. Otherwise, you're just wasting your money and will have to go through the whole RMA/ Exchange madness. Totally not fun. My best suggestion is that you go to a local store (save yourself some time and shipping costs) and buy one there. When you do, pull it out of the box right there at the store, hook it up, and test it. If you have one that has dead pixels..exchange it for another...then test....etc...etc.

Beast! Got it on sale and for me it's either Corsair, EVGA, or SeaSonic PSU's.

EVGA SuperNOVA P3 220-P3-1000-X1 1000 W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC PFC Power Supply
EVGA SuperNOVA P3 220-P3-1000-X1 1000 W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC PFC Power Supply

Pros: Seems quieter than previous PSU, no where near using all the cables and full power of this thing; even with Sapphire RX 6950 XT GPU... I might have over built this gaming rig. Oh well.

Cons: -None. Quality upon inspection is top notch build; only Corsair and SeaSonic are in same category in my opinion (after owning them for 30 years).

Overall Review: PC specs: CPU: AMD 5700G GPU: RX 6950 XT Toxic RAM: 64G DDR4 3200 (Team Force) PSU: EVGA 1K - SuperNova MOBO: Asus Prime B550

#1 for 1440P gaming in 2022

SAPPHIRE Toxic Radeon RX 6950 XT 16GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 ATX Video Card 11317-01-20G
SAPPHIRE Toxic Radeon RX 6950 XT 16GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 ATX Video Card 11317-01-20G

Pros: Smashed PassMark - G3D Mark with 30,890 score. Faster than GeForce RTX 3090 Ti in PassMark. #1 in world. My monitor is LG 32inch - 165hz 1440p G-Sync/AMD IPS and I'm shocked that I'm pushing everything past 165 fps @ 1440p. I mean, I'm not angry, but I had no idea what kind of upgrade this would be from a RX 6700 XT to this was gonna be. Never owned any gpu that was benchmarking results like this. To put it frankly.... 'shock factor' is best as I can describe it and mental state that I'm in. Just incredible performance, eye candy, and quality. Lost for words..

Cons: None. .. Best GPU I've ever owned and D### proud of it

Overall Review: Make sure you download the Sapphire TriXX software and set your card to 'serial' LED sequence if you want your card to display all LED colors in RGB. I absolutely love this GPU and now a Sapphire loyalist.... doesn't get any better than this.... what rock have I been living under all this time... PC specs: CPU: AMD 5700G GPU: RX 6950 XT Toxic RAM: 64G DDR4 3200 (Team Force) PSU: EVGA 1K - SuperNova MOBO: Asus Prime B550 Other thoughts: I'm on the fence to upgrade CPU to either Intel 12900K or AMD 58003XD or 5950X but as you know both AMD and Intel have fall 2022/2023 CPU roadmaps so doing the waiting game until then. I'm also just not sold on 4K gaming just yet either; we are still about 2-3 years out before we see 160 fps @ 4k so I'm sticking with 1440p gaming. That being said, another cycle of 1440p gaming monitors will also hit customers this fall & spring; my guess is 170-220hz at 1440P. That is why I made the leap into this 6950XT Toxic; I wanted something now that was #1 and can carry me into next 2-3 years with only CPU/MOBO upgrades necessary. 4K gaming is just not going to happen in the world of 165+ fps anytime soon; it's just not, it won't be until we hit 4nm CPU's, 18,000+ stream GPU (cuda cores), with DDR5/6 in prime time, possibly 32G VRRAM. This is years away. So ..lots to consider. There is always the whole talking point "just wait until next generations come out', but if you have been paying attention to that argument for years; you hit supply and demand, as well as over-hyped products that are not delivering factorial data in regards to GPU tests and benchmarks, etc etc. It's just one of those times where it's here and now and from my research and benchmarking; it's a great time to upgrade to a known and available product. Last time I wanted to upgrade I ended up waiting almost 2 years. I pulled the trigger and only sharing these details so you can make your own educated decision. If You want a GPU that will hold it's own in 1440P for next few years....This is it. Cream of the crop. Period.

Perfect GPU for HTPC arcade cabinet. Small and powerful

Overall Review: 1st EVGA GPU but I'm seriously impressed with quality and performance so far. I think next desktop gaming beast will be EVGA build

Decent air flow, not sure about the 51CFM rating, but great quality and will buy again

be quiet! Pure Wings 2 80mm

Pros: Impressive quality and packaging. I put two of these in a smaller HTPC build (arcade cabinet) and they do the job well. Decent air flow and very quiet. Highly recommend.

Cons: none
