Tested at one of the fastest 1TB Drives
Pros: The best warranty out there (7 years). Raid class quality and the fastest speed away in this class. Check the standard web-sites that test these things.
Cons: Retail.....retail my foot. No box, no packing, no cable, no software. Just Newegg's bubble warp. Is this the 'NEW' retail packaging, sure hope not.
Trouble in wireless network land
Pros: Pretty. Price. You need to be a IT pro to install it.
Cons: I had thought the network wireless folks were getting it together. No is the short answer. I’ve been in IT for 30 years. So I thought a 2012 product should be sufficiently mature for a novice to tackle like my wife. She has been around computers a long too but not to much with the hands one hardware stuff. She agree and went to town….for about 50 minutes. She came out of the room with a tear in her eye and no working network. The software is what tripped her and the jargon wasn’t understandable and nothing was automated. Even WPS2 button trip her up as it’s a reset button too. It was the same in the 80’s, the 90’s etc etc. Regular person has zero chance of setting up and using this equipment and software. To many question and far, far too few answers. I couldn’t tell if one or the other bands were working. I found no speed advantage over my old set-up. I couldn’t tell if the WPS2 protection was working either as you just as easily reset the whole as adjust the protection.
Overall Review: I jumped in but the bandwidth analysis left me cold and slow. Something like a PING speed of 5ms is normal here but 11ms was norm with the TP-Link. Max speed of 36Mbps was hit but seemed slower. The technology and programming still hasn’t improved enough to be useable by regular people. The SSID, MAC and 32-bit IP addressing terminology has got to go. This software was not easy to use and I wouldn’t recommend it for 99 percent of computer users out there. I want things to fun and easy to use. This seems to much like a fight!
They didn't assemble their memory sticks properly
Pros: Memory worked for the most part but wasn't happy working with AMD Ryzen systems.
Cons: Every single stick of memory had its aluminum heat spreads installed incorrectly 80% of the time. If you lined up the memory sticks with their install slots all aligned...the spreaders were simply install by 3rd graders. Printing on one side and then on other side. The detail/warranty sticker were on the left side, then the right, then on front and than back to the rear side...just a mess.
Overall Review: Didn't work at all with my first Ryzen 5 2600 system. Had to use a different memory company altogether.
Absolutely One of Favorite Fans
Pros: Coolmoon's fans match up with assorted others Chinese made fans with controller hubs and cabling to match. No need to worry about 3 or 4 pin RGB headers 5v or 12v compatibly at all. The hubs and remotes work well with at lease 3 other name brands and the remotes control RGB speed, colors, and modes. Can do 'white', light intensity, 3 different music modes to bounce to the tunes. Plus can add 2 strips of RGB lighting besides.
Cons: None...for product, but shipping speed/time is abysmal.
Overall Review: All good with the fans, quiet, bright as needed, and off if that's makes you happy too.
Review of the COUGAR MX410-T Only
Pros: Top front I/O is very good, I like two USB 3 and same for USB2. The rest is standard inputs/outputs. I appreciate the smaller size but there are trade offs.
Cons: Oh my...so many where to start. Wait: I know, 1. The case opening for the motherboard I/O shield is cut/bent or machined wrong, I can NOT install the I/O shield from the Asus motherboard stock shield. I tried for an hour, I just bent then broke it from trying to install it. This fact alone is the reason I've returned this case. 2. Installing a ATX board is really not workable as the SATA connectors for the SSD's and hard drives are block by the case design. I could not connect the data and power cable to save my life. Another reason to return case. 3. The cut-outs (for cabling) in the power supply shroud for use to wires the motherboard is also blocked for the most part with just a single arbitrary located one...good grief. 4. The single 120mm rear fan is claimed to be ARGB but it isn't. It uses the 35 year old 'molex' connector. The big 4 pin one and its offers a 12v connector for both fan and color, so adjustable anything isn't here.
Overall Review: Returned
No clue as to how it Works
Pros: Really not sure of anything with this Item.
Cons: Really not sure of anything with this thing.
Overall Review: Never worked, afraid might damage everything connected to it. It states that it can't work with ASRock motherboards but I think Asus boards maybe an issue too. I don't know, I gave up and just recycled it; hope more useful in its next life.
Unable to use in my Computer build
I've purchased Coolmoon case fans nine (9) separate times, a number as singles and in 3-packs. They all had similar design and style; but these fans are out of left field and I can't use them as replacements or in different builds was the pattern of RGB, fan shape, style and color are not Coolmoon. These are made of completely white with only the mounting holes that are dissimilar. With this major change/difference they can not 'matched' too other Coolmoon fans in looks, patterns etc. The control hub and remote have Coolmoon logo but this isn't the reason you buy a certain product over and over again. Like you buy a Ford not expecting to have it look like a chevy.
Ordered a Computer Case for Customer Build. It never came.
Instead they sent weeks later, I got a small plastic-type bag and empty paper cardboard toilet paper holder...I posted pictures. Embarrassing and unhappy is about it for this transaction.
