Great 4 Gig USB Drive
Pros: great Capacity , great price, ran HD Tune to test speeds, and have a comparison of a 1 gig Kingston traveler also new. Both tested on same computer and used same port. HD Tune: Flash NEWEGG SM_USB20 Benchmark Transfer Rate Minimum : 6.1 MB/sec Transfer Rate Maximum : 13.1 MB/sec Transfer Rate Average : 12.4 MB/sec Access Time : 0.8 ms Burst Rate : 11.4 MB/sec CPU Usage : 26.3% HD Tune: KingstonDataTraveler 2.0 Benchmark Transfer Rate Minimum : 2.3 MB/sec Transfer Rate Maximum : 12.5 MB/sec Transfer Rate Average : 12.2 MB/sec Access Time : 1.4 ms Burst Rate : 5.9 MB/sec CPU Usage : 23.1%
Cons: not a big problem but wish the cap had some type of lanyard to keep me from losing it eventually.
Overall Review: Newegg shipped fast and has great producst as usual, but ups droppe dteh ball and changed delivery to a day later than it was suppsoed to be.
not to great
Pros: Cheap Price, wrapped cables look better, plenty of connections.
Cons: died within one week in an older socket A system, it appears to have taken the processor or motherboard with it (maybe both). Atleast it wasn't my new system.
Overall Review: A bit frustrating to have to pay return shipping, (just the facts of doing internet business though) the automatic restocking fee Newegg charges when requesting a RMA refund was also refunded after contacting Newegg. So they keep the great customer service reputation they have earned over the years.
Easy setup
Pros: great price, and seems to have more features than I need. Was easy to setup (once I figured out one of my wireless cards did not support newer security setting I was trying to use), The included client software is nice if you need it, but I uninstalled it and just let windows manage my wireless adapters. Has better range than my old 11B Dlink not to mention the speed increase going to 11G.
Cons: antenna is not removeable
Overall Review: I got it for the advantage of being able to use DD WRT firmware but figured I would try the Stock firmware and so far its doing great. I may still move to DD WRT but will have to wait till I have time to play with it.
Sweet Silence
Pros: So far so good, all the voltages are steady, more than enough power connectors for everything, and most important to me is the noise factor, I is almost inaudible with ethe switch set to L or M and then on high It is still very quite.
Cons: Well not much of a con, but teh slick looking black chrome is almost all hidden inside my case...
Great board
Pros: Easy assembly, booted first try, so far everything is great. Did not need to use floppy to install drivers for xp install on SATA 1 ports (not using raid). Looks like pretty good options in Bios for overclocking (although haven't started that yet), considering the budget price. Having both real AGP and pci express is great, the cpu upgrade slot dunno about, The multiple graphics slots are why I chose this board.
Cons: as a budget board its expected to not come with much accessories, and they made the cd where you can boot with it to make a driver disk for installing raid drivers if you want to install xp on a raid array. So not reallya con considering price.
Overall Review: I had been waiting for ever for a more "enthusiate" type motherboard made with this chipset, after getting this one and the performace I have so far without overclocking I hate I waited so long....
Great price point
Pros: Great case, sturdy, removeable motherboard tray fits nicely and very convienent for install. 4 temp sensors cover everything I need. Side vent seems fairly sturdy so far. Haven't seen or bumped any charp edges inside.
Cons: Packaging stinks did not protect from what looks like an average bumb to the bottum, Mine has a nice little bend, not to obvious but still irritating, not enoug to pay to ship it back and get a new one though. Included fan is pretty noisey.
Overall Review: Over all great case for the price, nice features and in Aluminum
