Pros: Overall easy to hook everything up, except for the SATA connector problem others have mentioned. Been running the machine I built almost non-stop for months; no problems.
Cons: The on-board sound does not work with Windows XP. I did some research and I'm not the only one with this problem. I never did get it to work, and ended up installing a sound card.
You get what you pay for. This is a good monitor at this price point, no more, no less.
Pros: Inexpensive. Lightweight. Uses an external power supply so the monitor itself is less bulky. Despite being lightweight, the included stand holds it still. No shaking if I bump my desk.
Cons: No DVI input. Picture looks like you took a 23 inch monitor and stretched it to 27 inches. Not particularly sharp. Text seems fuzzy. Control buttons are unlabeled and it's hard to figure out what each one does. My monitor seems to have a little too much green in the color mix. I'm sure this is configurable in the color settings - if only I could figure out the buttons. When my computer shuts off the display it turns blue for a second before turning off. Kind of distracting. Might make you nostalgic for your old Atari 8 bit computer - the blue color is almost the same as the default Atari background color.
Overall Review: This is an adequate monitor at an inexpensive price. If you would like a new monitor but don't want to spend a lot of money (for example, if you're suddenly working from home more than usual because of a pandemic), this is a solid choice. If you want to be wowed by the display then you will probably need to spend more money. I struggled with how many stars to give this. I gave it three because there is nothing special about it, but there is nothing wrong with it either. It's not great, it's not bad. It's what you would expect when paying this price for a 27 inch monitor. No DVI input though. That might not matter to you but I like having flexibility.
Nice monitor, wobbly stand
Pros: Nice picture. Comes with power and DVI cables. Unobtrusive power and control buttons.
Cons: Stand is very wobbly. The bevel is glossy so there is a reflection from the sides of the screen. Cable connections face back instead of down (might not be a con for you).
Overall Review: I have never wanted to adjust the contrast or brightness so I can't speak to the controls or on-screen menus. It came with software on a CD. I have no idea what it does and haven't installed it.
