better then my old 5.1

Eagle ET-AR508LR-BK
140 Watts 2.1 Speakers - Retail
Eagle ET-AR508LR-BK 140 Watts 2.1 Speakers - Retail

Pros: I like the way it sounds. I can hear things i couldn't hear in my 5.1 setup which was a logitech X 530 5.1 Decent upgrade. For the audiophile i would say we are missing some mids here but the lows and highs are fantastic for the price. I have owned some cheaper 2.1 setups in the past which usually end up dying after awhile (the old setups were priced around 50$)

Cons: mids; don't get me wrong YOU do hear mids but again, for the guy/girl looking for reference monitors these are not them. OH! and the wires are short and they need extenders unless you have a small desk but if you want flexibility you are going to have to buy an extension; which i have not done yet

Overall Review: It gets loud but in a very good way! I should say the quality gets loud as to just getting loud and sounding like a mess; which is kind of how i felt with my x530

Eagle Tech

Eagle ET-AR302-BK 6 Watts RMS 2.0 Black Soundstage Speakers
Eagle ET-AR302-BK 6 Watts RMS 2.0 Black Soundstage Speakers

Pros: -crisp clean sound -the design looks nice next to my computer - for 20$ these speakers are pretty awesome -This is my second time buying eagle tech hardware and I really like this company. I also own there loudspeaker system the ET AR508LR and am very pleased. -If you are fed up with logitech's overpriced halfway decent selection... try EAGLE TECH they are priced just right.

Cons: see "other thoughts."

Overall Review: -ADD a BASS/SUBWOOFER unit if you plan on listening to music or games that give off lots of bass. The speakers are awesome for mids and highs (because that's what satellite speakers are for) adding a bass/subwoofer would make this a fantastic system Since I knew there would be little bass I did not take an egg off for it. The speakers themselves are great.

the best

Webroot AntiVirus with Spy Sweeper 3PC
Webroot AntiVirus with Spy Sweeper 3PC

Pros: this is the best anti-virus with spy sweeper. It has a great engine for detecting viruses. It has always been able to handle any virus i have encountered. Im sure all you guys know what I'm talking about...haha. They even listen to their customers. I have written to them about interface changes and they actually have fixed it. You can't find that kind of satisfaction in a software company. I'm sure i wasn't the only one who wrote them; but they fixed exactly what i complained about (within a 5 month period). Coincidence maybe. but this product is great. 5year member here

Cons: none

Overall Review: reinforce this anti virus with mal-ware bytes and you are golden. Webroot and mal-ware should sit down.

Good

Antec NSK 6582 Silver / Black 0.8 mm Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 430W Power Supply
Antec NSK 6582 Silver / Black 0.8 mm Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 430W Power Supply

Pros: +removable HDD tray +sturdy, heavier than the avg. case (in my opinion thats a plus; some cases i feel like i can crush like a coke can, but not this one.) +PSU (but only works with 4pin motherboard not 6pin) +I got all the headers for mounting the MoBo and than some; some cases only give u a proportional amount +120mm rear fan +side duct w/ 80mm fan option +/- 2 optional front intake fans 92mm (see cons)

Cons: Installing the 2 front fans is the most annoying thing ever... In order to install, at least in my case, I had to widen the screw holes for the fans screws. The holes are to friggen small!! but this is not a big enough con for me to take an egg off. Everything requires a little work.

Overall Review: Buy this case it works well... especially if u are getting a mobo with a 4pin power connector (which i did not). Great cooling, sturdy, lots of room to expand, and chance to kill 2 birds with one stone PSU + Case. 120mm rear fan has tri setting which is nice. A good buy here

BIOSTAR A785GE AM3/AM2+ AMD 785G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
BIOSTAR A785GE AM3/AM2+ AMD 785G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: One of the easiest setups (except i didn't look at specs and got a case that is 0.1'' off which is so darn frustrating, but fit without the I/O shield on it; will replace case). IGP on this baby is actually the best i have seen in a while. +DVI +HDMI Paired with a Regor II X2 3.0ghz and 2g HyperMemory DDR2 800 - Win7 64 works very well and very fast and looks great. Whole setup brought on newegg without a monitor is inexpensive if your looking for a new computer. check it out.

Cons: onboard audio is kind of weak but thats why there are PCI slots. Only install the Lan drivers off the CD. Download the rest off of Biostar website.

Overall Review: i built a gaming computer for myself a year ago. Upgraded from a P4 to a Phenom II x3 on a 790gxm board with ddr3 1333 4g and to tell you the truth this build preforms comparable to my rig (as far as multi tasking on the web and windows and running apps... have not tested games on this build yet but im sure this thing can do a decent job; add a GPU and im sure this baby can handle any game). After this i think ddr3 is overrated and over priced. DDR2 is cheaper and if you get decent sticks your set and save some green.

RE: windows freezes

SAPPHIRE Vapor-X Radeon HD 4850 1GB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card 100273L
SAPPHIRE Vapor-X Radeon HD 4850 1GB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card 100273L

Pros: To the people having issues with this card, you should make sure that windows isn't installing drivers for the ASUS version of this card; for some reason it like to that. So your computer maybe freezing because you have two different drivers installed perhaps? Look at the Device manager (click the start button, right click computer and click manage; should get you to the device manager). Also if you are updating from another card, you should download driver sweeper or something and make sure that the old drivers are erased. And make sure your PSU has enough power. good luck!

Cons: none. does get warm under heavy load but so does anything unless u spend more cash on a card with a better cooler. still not a con for me.

Overall Review: This card works great. have two monitors hooked up to it and play lots of games just fine on high settings.
