Screamin' good Black Friday Deal
Pros: I picked up this card for $170 (after rebate) on Black Friday and I really don't think there's a better price vs. performance card out there. Runs all the big titles out there in their full 1080P 60 fps glory. If you're looking for something more than that, you need a better card. I'm playing a lot of Overwatch and Rise of the Tomb Raider right now and this is an upgrade from a 960 I got last Black Friday. No difference on Overwatch from the 960 but Tomb Raider is looking a lot better for sure on the 1060.
Cons: Things you gotta know: - The 3 gb 1060 has less CUDA cores than the 6 gb version of the same card. Look on youtube for lots of videos comparing the 6 gb and the 3 gb. - The future of gaming is leaning toward more VRAM needs, not less, so 3 gig is fine for December 2016, but is hardly "future proof". I never liked that term anyway.
Overall Review: I think the card looks cheap and there's no backplate, but for this much money, I don't really care. I got a great deal and it meets my needs perfectly.
Doesn't work
Pros: Super cheap!
Cons: Doesn't work!
Overall Review: The printer firmware doesn't recognize this non-Samsung printer cartridge. So when you put the new cartridge in the printer, it thinks it's out of toner. Unless you want your printer to be a large door stop, this cartridge is useless.
Super cheap, yet super awesome!
Pros: At this price, to get a decent power supply that's gold rated and semi modular, that's pretty unusual
Cons: Nothing. Highly recommend.
Impressive performance in a small package
Pros: - Impressive performance. Runs everything at max settings in 1080 > 60 fps. - Secondary use: works as a heater in a cold room
Cons: - Hits 80 degrees celsius at the blink of an eye - The one fan is real loud, even with headphones - You're gonna need to crank up the fan curve to keep it cool when gaming on modern AAA titles
Overall Review: I do all of my gaming at 1080p and I'm wondering if I should have gotten a 1660ti with a better after market cooler on it. This card runs hotter than any card I've had before, and the one fan is real loud. Much louder than my old dual fan 1060. Then I put a 50 mhz overclock on it and it was stable, but the temps have me a little concerned for the long term. Haven't tried Battlefield V yet to see how the ray tracing looks. I'm probably going to change out the heat sink for some kind of AIO watercooling at some point. My recommendation: if you do all of your gaming at 60 hz 1080p and don't care about ray tracing, look elsewhere.
Looks great. Cheap price
Pros: The cable looks great and was plenty long enough for my case. And for 50% off, i got it at a great price
Cons: None
Overall Review: It's a nice improvement that matches the colors in my case.
Fast and cheap
Pros: Cheap and fast.
Cons: None
Overall Review: I bought this for my 17" iMac and it works great. I definitely noticed a difference in speed upgrading from 1gb. Programs open faster, animations move smoother, and multiple programs can be open without any slowdown. Great product!
