Most Favorable Review

I do not understand how this thing is so small.

EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G6, 80 Plus Gold 1000W, Fully Modular, Eco Mode with FDB Fan, 100% Japanese Capacitors, 10 Year Warranty, Includes Power ON Self Tester, Compact 140mm Size, 220-G6-1000-X1
EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G6, 80 Plus Gold 1000W, Fully Modular, Eco Mode with FDB Fan, 100% Japanese Capacitors, 10 Year Warranty, Includes Power ON Self Tester, Compact 140mm Size, 220-G6-1000-X1

Pros: -3 inches shorter than the previous PSU it replaced, yet with more power overhead. How? -Seriously, it's weirdly small, it doesn't make any sense. It's 250W sized, not 1000W sized. -Seasonic + eVGA = Winning combination. -With a 707W load, +12v only dips from to 12.170v from 12.175v. A+ regulation. -Go ahead and throw in a 3090/6900, it doesn't care about a highly transient load. -I have never heard this PSU make a peep. Even when the fan runs it barely spins. -10 year warranty -Could probably stand in as an arc welder if you needed it to.

Cons: -With Eco mode on, aiming an IR probe around through the grill, I picked up 80c, which is on the warm side. I trust that eVGA/Seasonic spec'd the components well, and it will probably tolerate Eco mode just fine for 10+ years, but I've opted to leave eco mode off. The PSU is still dead silent with eco mode off, but the IR probe only registers 51c which is much more comfortable for me. -I'm really reaching for things here, but good grief this was the smelliest PSU I've ever had to break in.

Overall Review: You probably don't need this PSU. It's probably overkill. It's a little on the pricey side. You'd probably be fine with an 850W unit. But if you're like me, and you never want to have the thought that "maybe my PC's issues are being caused by the PSU," then you've found your next power supply.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ - Athlon 64 X2 Manchester Dual-Core 2.0 GHz Socket 939 Processor - ADA3800BVBOX

Pros: Multitasking, doing 2 things at once, or 4 things at once even. Destroys single core in those aspects, but absolutely nothing else.

Cons: Unless you're really lucky, you're not going to get a stepping that overclocks well. Expect 2.5GHz max out of most chips, and if you're purchasing strictly to overclock like i was, if you receive an LDBFE stepping, don't even open it, just refund it ASAP.

Overall Review: My chip was not stable at 2.6GHz no matter what, this was on a DFI Expert motherboard, i know the bios like the back of my hand, and still couldn't get core 1 to be stable passed 2.5GHz. my stepping was an LDBFE 0623XPMW, avoid it!!!!

Extremely happy with this router.

ASUS ROG (GT-AC2900) Dual-Band Wireless Gigabit Wi-Fi Gaming Router - GeForce NOW Optimization with Triple-Level Game Acceleration, 4 x LAN, 1 x USB 3.0, 1 x USB 2.0 Compatible with AiMesh
ASUS ROG (GT-AC2900) Dual-Band Wireless Gigabit Wi-Fi Gaming Router - GeForce NOW Optimization with Triple-Level Game Acceleration, 4 x LAN, 1 x USB 3.0, 1 x USB 2.0 Compatible with AiMesh

Pros: -This is still one of the best bang for buck OpenVPN capable routers currently on the market. OpenVPN is a single threaded protocol, and thanks to this routers dual core 1.8GHz CPU, the GT-AC2900 often has better transfer rates over OpenVPN than MUCH more expensive quad core CPU equipped routers running at only 1.4-1.5GHz. -VPN Fusion feature is absolutely awesome, and it's great being able to assign up to 4 different VPN's to up to 16 different devices simultaneously. -Intuitive and easy to use UI. -Very good 2.4GHz range, and excellent 5GHz range. -Good SMB/NAS support on Windows, very simple to set up attached storage, and surprisingly great transfer rates through USB3.0 over Ethernet or Wi-Fi. -Supports MerlinWRT.

Cons: -The hardware specs suggest the UI should be a little faster to respond. The UI isn't slow, but it's not what I'd call fast either. -Some features seem unnecessarily gated behind signing the rights to your information away with the Trend Micro privacy agreement. -I would be willing to pay more for a router if it meant I could use all the features without agreeing to allow Trend Micro to sell my information to 3rd parties. -SMB authentication is a bit buggy on my Manjaro machines. I still haven't figured out if it's the routers fault or Manjaro's SMB support, but it often requires multiple attempts to get my Linux machines to work with the router's UN/PW SMB authentication. So if you're on Linux and plan to use SMB with the router's attached storage, be aware there could be jankiness.

Overall Review: I bought this during a surprisingly deep sale, and chances are I paid way less for this router than what it's retailing for right now. However, even with what it's retailing for right now, this router is still near the top of the stack for bang for buck OpenVPN performance. So even if you're not lucky enough to find this for as cheap as I did, if you need a router for OpenVPN, you should still be considering this model.

If the metal were any thinner, it would be tinfoil.

DIYPC S1-BK-ARGB Black USB3.0 Steel/ Tempered Glass ATX Mid Tower Gaming Computer Case w/ Addressable RGB LED Strip on Front Panel, 1 x 120mm ARGB LED Fan x Rear
DIYPC S1-BK-ARGB Black USB3.0 Steel/ Tempered Glass ATX Mid Tower Gaming Computer Case w/ Addressable RGB LED Strip on Front Panel, 1 x 120mm ARGB LED Fan x Rear

Pros: -Looks nice -Easy to build in. No issues getting clean cable management. -ARGB controller works well. -Having mATX mounting hardware pre-installed was convenient. -Pre-installed fan is good quality, moves a good amount of air and is very quiet.

Cons: -Arrived dented on the top panel. But I was able to bend the dent back out. Not great. -This case has the thinnest and flimsiest metal I've ever worked with. -There are cases for the same price with better materials.

Overall Review: It works for a low budget build. But after building in it, I don't think I'd buy it again. My suggestion to the manufacturer would be to add vertical reinforcements to the top panel and rear I/O section of the case, or just use thicker metal in those sections in general. Otherwise, the rest of the case was acceptable for the price point.

Considering what you get for the price, this is an amazing case. I love it.

SAMA Tank-RGB Black Dual USB3.0 Steel/ Tempered Glass ATX Mid Tower Gaming Computer Case w/Tempered Glass Panel and 4x Addressable RGB LED Ring Fans Pre-Installed

Pros: -Looks really nice. (Subjective) -Build quality is better than the price suggests. -No sharp edges to cut yourself when building. -Essentially a cheap Phantek Eclipse P400A clone. -Magnetic dust filters for front and top, and dust filter under the PSU intake. -More headroom for top-mount radiators than similarly priced cases. -Just enough room for custom water cooling. -Pretty much endless possibilities for wire management. -4 included RGB fans at this price point is class leading. -Included fans move quite a bit of air set on high speed. -Included RGB controller worked with ASUS Aura immediately. -Good front I/O, with 2 USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0, and headphones + mic. -Enough room behind the motherboard tray for hiding thicker cables. -Excellent temperatures, the case cycles hot air out very well.

Cons: -The rubber nubs around the side panel screws fall off way too easily. I super glued them on. -The magnetic filters are restrictive. Removing them makes a big difference in noise/cooling. -The fans on high speed are pretty audible, but not irritating. -The fans on low speed are silent, but barely move any air. Really need a medium speed. -The fans aren't individually addressable, just addressable. -The reset button is extremely recessed to the point I can't even hit it with my pinky. -The punch out PCI-E brackets are extremely flimsy, and you only get one screw in slot cover. -The space between the PSU and HDD cage is tight and results in a mess of cables. -The tempered glass panel is pretty thin, and I imagine it won't tolerate much abuse. -6-pin RGB fans and 6-pin fan headers means you can't run them on mobo fan headers.

Overall Review: This is a great budget case. It punches way above it's weight class. The pros far outweigh the cons at this price point.

EVGA GeForce 7900GS 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Support Graphics Card 256-P2-N620-AR
EVGA GeForce 7900GS 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Support Graphics Card 256-P2-N620-AR

Pros: SLI, overclockability, price. Basically sums it up about these cards, they're the absolute ideal SLI video cards, they stay very cool (90nm manufacturing process), hit 550/1760 quite easily on stock cooling, your mileage may vary.

Cons: I've run into some odd artifacts even at stock frequencies, and a couple of weird problems with nVidia beta drivers.

Overall Review: seems like the 7900GS might be the 7900GT's that were messed up/RMA'd/repaired. I'm running these cards in SLI, and it's extremely fast, plays every game i throw at it @ 2048x1536/80hz on my hp P1130. the X1900GT is about on par with the 7900GS, a little faster in most things, but if you have a SLI motherboard, these are the cards to use.
