Overall good product

Pros: Keeps CPU cool (what its designed to do). I have an AMD 4200+ (dual core) and i run around 34-36 C under normal computing (transcoding video, recording video from multiple tv tuners...)
Cons: Be VERY careful when you install it.. people who have had a hard time installing it are probably not lining up the small holes with the plastic pin on the bottom of the metal CPU mount bracket. When these fall into place the fan easily clamps down onto the bracket. Does the fan really have PWM control when it is only a 3-pin connector?? Mine only has three and YES I bought this exact item.
Overall Review: They give you way too much thermal paste.. i'd recommend scraping it off and puttin on something else.
Over-rated

Pros: It works, but the bells and whistles take common sense to figure out. Read others advice for how to get full functionality.
Cons: NOT as cool as it looks in the pictures. Everything everyone else has said is true. Hard to screw in my ASUS M2N4 motherboard. Can't get CPU temp sensor to work.
Overall Review: Go buy something else if you want to be suprised.
Get updated Firmware

Pros: Small, fast, quiet
Cons: Make sure to get the upgraded firmware Searthe the seagate website for Barracuda 7200.12 Firmware Update [213891]
Overall Review: My computer has been laggins for months.. probably since I bought this hard drive. I ran HDTUNE which showed TERRIBLE transfer rates... I realized I have version CC34 of the firmware.. the latest is CC46.. my drive went from an average transfer rate of 25 MB/s to 133 MB/s with the new firmware. NO JOKE..
Great Buy

Pros: Virtually silent. Don't hesitate.
Cons: As people have said there's no "retail" packaging. Only a set of 4 screws.
Overall Review: Great for a HTPC or other budget PC.
Price meets Value

Pros: This chip has a phenomenal price/performance ratio. Why pay more? If you're looking for a budget build then this is it. It runs cool, quiet, and has the power to do basic home office tasks. Great for a HTPC. The system I built (below) costs less than $275.
Cons: I HATE Intel's 4 pin attachment system for the heat sink. Seriously, this is my first Intel build and you would think that Intel would spend more than $0.50 for four plastic pins that are so darn cheap. I thought I would going to bend my mobo in half. Be careful and be prepared to swear. Maybe I don't have the magic touch, but AMD's clip and lever system is SO easy.

Value meets quality

Pros: Quiet. Just enough connections for a basic computer build. Price. The large fan on this thing is VERY quiet. I' recommend it for anyone doing a basic build. Packaging is top notch and "cool".
Cons: None
