Pros: this board is an excellent build and it is cool to the touch on all heatsinks...i think the layout is one of the best that i have seen in a while...it has space for some gigantic coolers...overclocks my x2 5200 to 3.2 no voltage change needed what so ever. paired with 4gigs ballistix 2 150raptors, 500wd backup, audigy 2 zs and a 3870 for now...
Cons: newer south bridge coming out soon...but not a big issue, also phenoms aren't quite up to par yet but thats not the boards problem.
Overall Review: to the poster below that says he cant update the bios without an old hard an xp...you are wrong as i am only running 64bit vista and i updated my bios twice already..now @1.4. you guys need to know/research what you are buying before you buy it and give it a negative review...second msi's utilities do work because i have tried it all and i have core center and an ati video card and no problems what so ever. to those that says the video card touches the heatsink i would like to know what card you guys have because my 3870 nor gt does not touch it at all.
nice drive

Pros: It's a quiet one, was watching 300 on bluray and loved every aspect of it
Cons: Dam_n it newegg why do I have to list a con when there are none.
amazing

Pros: I can't believe the difference(stock) in performance compared to my p2 [email protected]... i got this from the egg for the same price as m...center even better deal with the canyon +light screwdriver freebies. I just couldn't wait anymore amd bd is not for me today maybe my next build or after the next. I am currently building another system for someone else with this cpu, chose it over the 2600k eventhough I would benefit from the hyper threading of the 2600k, the price difference is not really warranted for the small difference is performance gain.
Cons: Cons should be optional as there is none...I'm not really a amd fanboy but i would definitely say that I favor them more than Intel, before my last 2 builds was my Intel phase...e6420 then eventually to q6600(cooler stepping model). I guess now I am back to an Intel kinda thing.lol
Overall Review: My new rig: msi z68-g3(gd65) this cpu crucial 8gb ballistix ddr3 2000 crucial 128 gb m4 ssd wd 1.5 gbblack 64mb cache lg bluray combo burner thermaltake chaser mk-1 and corsair h60 cpu cooler... P.S. i know i didn't list any gpu, because I'm waiting on the 7000 series, so onboard for now or i'll just throw in one of my last purchased cards:xfire 4850s, 8800gt or maybe even my 3870.
board will not support bulldozer

Pros: I just got off the phone with MSI sales department and they specifically stated that this board will lack support for the upcoming bulldozer because of some hard changes that AMD made to the cpu coding of BD.
Cons: This board is great though my friend has it and despite all the negative reviews it runs better than my 790fx gd 80
to the reviewer below

Pros: the card might be showing blank screen due to the ati driver... i think 8.12 hotfix was the best one then probably 9.1 other than that the only other way to fix is reinstalling windows. the card is real good i have 2 4850s in xfire and the performance from the r770 is real good...
Cons: heat but dual slot cooler on the 4870s are better by far over the 4850s
Card is not underclocked

Pros: the card is great i love it and the gt you cant go wrong for the money - the price gouging...but even with the price ramping the card is still exceptional for its performance
Cons: ati overdrive does not let you adjust fan settings
Overall Review: the fan setting kinda sucks but it is cooler than the gt(mainly because of the dual slot cooler)..to the poster below, the card is not underclocked it clocks down to save power to 2d mode, then when you start to game it ramps back up to the default clocks. If you know anything about power consumption then this is actually perfect. I'm ecstatic that cards are now utilizing this option, my only gripe is that you have to use a third party software to change fan speeds
