Comments: The 100 million dollars and five years of development was worth it with this card. You know this card means business when you see a heatsink on the audio processor. I upgraded from an Audigy 2 Platinum and the difference is incredible. I have not heard nearly this much difference since the time I upgraded from a Sound Blaster Pro to the original Soundblaster Live. I have tested this card in everyway possible and it fails to disappoint. You can hear everything clearly instead of everything being all mushed together. For music, I have CDs that are pretty much the original LP from the 1950's that have been put on CD. This thing makes them sound like a modern day recording. Also it makes high quality CDs sound almost like DVD Audio quality. I also tested a CD I have that is a recording of a fortepiano. This card made that sound clearly and it did not have any distortion that my Audigy 2 had. For DVDs and games, the sound on different channels is extremely clear. Also I noticed that there is no sound lag on DVDs. This was a problem my Audigy 2 had with some DVDs. There is a feature on gaming mode to make headphones into 10 virtual speakers that really works. With both headphones and speakers you can hear sounds above and below you in games. I did notice a slight improvement in game speeds with this card but nothing to jump for joy about. The remote control programs are much more useful than they have ever been. I have owned both the Platinum version of the Audigy and Audigy 2 and their remote features were not even half as useful as the one on the X-Fi. I have yet to try this card with the audio creation features. So far it has made everything sound much better and clearer. The only thing I was disappointed in was the removal of the 1394 ports and the line in jack. I actually used those. Aside from that, I am extremely happy and proud of this card. Now how many people can say that about their sound cards. Speakers: Kxxxsch 5.1 Ultra (had these since my original Audigy).

Comments: Keyboard works fine, in fact i like it. But the mouse is horrible, it jumps all over the screen all the time.

Comments: That's what OEM is. Newegg has a great customer service number to call and they will be more than happy to describe what OEM means to you. Surely you must have wondered why this version of Windows is cheaper than the one that doesnt say "OEM".

Comments: Ritek is simply the best media on the market...as long as they are "Genuine Ritek Media". Let a friend of mine talk me into trying a spindle of Taiyo Yuden...3 coasters out of the first 20 discs burned. No more. Have burned over 30,000 RitekG04 and G05 media...2 coasters, and they were my own fault. I am however a new newegg customer, I live in the midwest, discs ordered friday before noon, ground delivery on monday...oh, and they delivered what I ordered, which was refreshing. Great disc, Great price, Great delivery time.

Comments: When I bought this, it was advertised as a IDE cable supporting ATA66/100. Not the case. This is not UDMA, just a regular IDE cable rounded. And now that I come back, same SKU is now advertised as a floppy cable? Although, the one I bought was HDD cable.
