Good for all those pesky peripheral devices
Pros: - The switchable ports allow me to disconnect my webcam when not in use. - Sufficiently compact, I'm able to tuck it into my mini-ITX case.
Cons: - Short cable - Doesn't passthrough enough power to properly run my HOTAS joystick.
Overall Review: For everyday use, this is a good option. My own specialized uses were a bit too much for it, but is not a huge letdown for me. I'm still using it for my RGB keyboard and mouse, as well as my 720p webcam, which all work fine when going through this device. I'm more critical about the cable length than I am about the incompatibility with my HOTAS.
Constantly blacking out, doesn't support 3440x1440 @144hz
Overall Review: Low cost, low quality unfortunately.
Everything worked out in the end
This thing is huge. I was able to barely fit it over the top of my RAM slots on a Z97-a mobo. The outermost fan needed to be relocated upwards for clearance. The cooling aspect works excellent. A stock Intel cooler couldn't keep my cpu below 95°C under 100% load. This cooler sets my cpu to a max of 75°C under 100% load. I normally see 70-73°C under heavy load At idle, it sits around 40°C
