Great for inference in Linux

Sapphire AI PRO Radeon AI Pro R9700 32358-01-20G 32GB 256-bit GDDR6 PCI Express 5.0 x16 Graphics Card
Sapphire AI PRO Radeon AI Pro R9700 32358-01-20G 32GB 256-bit GDDR6 PCI Express 5.0 x16 Graphics Card

Pros: Im able to load 30B parameter models locally and run them with speed on a budget. Qwen3 Coder Next 80B Q4 (dual GPUs) runs at 50 tokens per second. Best 32GB modern cards that you can purchase for consumer hardware. You can also get some great 4K gaming on Windows with a single card.

Cons: Works amazing in Linux with ROCm 10 or Vulkan, but Ive had issues in Windows when running dual cards, such as the second device being suddenly disabled. Works great with a single card, so stick to Linux for serious AI work if you have dual cards.

Overall Review: Budget friendly and versatility gives this two thumbs up.

Cheap working external SSD case - exactly what I wanted.

SABRENT 2.5-Inch SATA to USB 3.0 Tool-Free Clear External Hard Drive Enclosure [Optimized for SSD, Supports UASP SATA III] (EC-OCUB)
SABRENT 2.5-Inch SATA to USB 3.0 Tool-Free Clear External Hard Drive Enclosure [Optimized for SSD, Supports UASP SATA III] (EC-OCUB)

Pros: No frills case that was cheap, it works, and looks kinda cool (SSD not included). Ive used SABRENT products in the past and they have always been reliable.

Cons: The plastic is a bit on the lighter side, but for the price and it working well without issue I have no complaints.

Overall Review: I would recommend if you need a cheap SSD case with no frills that works reliably. If you are traveling and throwing this in your backpack, look for a metal version elsewhere.

Beautiful motherboard, on the inside and the outside

GIGABYTE B850 AI TOP AMD AM5 LGA 1718 Motherboard, ATX, DDR5, 3x M.2, PCIe 5.0, USB-C, WIFI7, 10GbE LAN, EZ-Latch
GIGABYTE B850 AI TOP AMD AM5 LGA 1718 Motherboard, ATX, DDR5, 3x M.2, PCIe 5.0, USB-C, WIFI7, 10GbE LAN, EZ-Latch

Pros: This motherboard is amazing. Not only can it run dual GPUs for inference, but it also doesnt look like an extreme gaming rig. The board is very high quality, and for someone that hasnt put together a PC in the past two decades, I was shocked how easy everything was to get together. It supports a wide variety of memory AMD the BIOS is extremely customizable, which has been great for working with local AI. I initially had some issues getting the memory to be recognized, not that its Gigabytes fault because it wasnt certified, but the highly customizable BIOS got me up and running within a couple of hours. Gigabyte support has also been very fast to respond with any questions that Ive had.

Cons: The BIOS that was loaded on the motherboard had some issues with my memory, but updating to the latest beta got me up and running quickly.

Overall Review: I have 2 SSD drives, 2 GPUs, and some budget memory in this machine, and its been running very, very solid for the past couple weeks after some tweaking. Ive been able to do local inference on Windows and Linux, and some nice gaming. Ive been really happy with this motherboard, the price, especially compared to other platforms that are out there. I would highly recommend this if youre looking to do some local AI.
