Solid monitor for gaming
Pros: Beautiful color for a non-graphics professional LCD. I use mine for gaming and office software. Works very well for both. Text is crisp. Haven't seen any ghosting on the games I play. They are all played a lot: BF2, Call of Duty2, Doom3, Fear, Far Cry, and older games. Stand allows for plenty of adjustments-great for comfortable viewing. Haven't played any full screen movies on it, so can't judge that.
Cons: I also have the "X" on a totally black screen. It's only in the corners (not a full X) and not detected while playing games (even Doom3 and Fear) or using any other software. You will need to calibrate this monitor from its defaults for best colors (and less of an "X"). Default brightness and contrast are always too high on any LCD I've dealt with. Seems to be a LCD thing. The blue bar that pops up when you change resolutions is annoying, but doesn't actually disturb my playing. Wish it could be turned off, though. I had one dead pixel. On far left, only visible on a totally white screen. I have to look for it to notice.
Overall Review: I really love this monitor. Great screen size and has been flawless for my needs. Best resolution (as in all LCDs) is the native, so have a strong video card for games (I have an X800XL). I'm a field tech who works with a lot of LCDs for my clients. This is the best one for color and gaming I've seen for its size and price range (sub $xxx).
RGB is nice, NOT silent
Pros: Overall look is good, RGB lighting is nice, even lighting across keyboard and I like the options.
Cons: -Overpriced. -NOT silent. I primarily bought this to be silent, and quieter than my Logitech Illuminated keyboard. This keyboard is as loud as that, if not a little more. -Actual labeling is BeFriend brand, which is an overseas company. -No instructions given on how to change the RGB pattern. Had to find it online.
Overall Review: Finding a decent low-profile, wired, RGB keyboard is tough. This one isn't worth the price point. And it's not silent as was advertised. Look elsewhere at this price point.
Excellent for the price
Pros: - Good price - Easy to use - Great sound
Cons: - None so far
Overall Review: Really like these. They've been perfect so far for some phone calls and when listening to music and podcasts while out on a walk or run. Nice to have have to deal with a wire behind my head anymore.
Excellent for the price
Pros: My MSI Pro-E board detected it correctly. No issues.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: The Ripjaws series continues to be good bang for the buck. This 24GB replaces the 12Gb I had installed. My board is now maxed out.
Good for the money
Pros: 1. Small size. 2. USB powered means no need to find another power plug. 3. Easy to set up. 4. Good sound in video games. 5. Volume control on top.
Cons: Bass sound poor. Music doesn't sound accurate.
Overall Review: Happy with the purchase. Would prefer better bass reproduction for when I occasionally play music through my computer. My primary reason for purchase was for my video games. Sound is good in the games. Happy with their small size and quick setup. Good speakers for the low price.
Works well. Slightly noisy
Pros: Works fine. No problem reading any DVD or CD put in.
Cons: Noisier than my Lite-On drive. Spin-up is noticeable. Nothing problematic, just making a note of it.
Overall Review: Haven't burned any DVD's yet.
