I'm a fan

Pros: Bought this receiver from NE a month ago to replace my HDMI Denon that got smoked by a lightning strike. -Fantastic receiver for the price. Everything works as advertised. Sounds GREAT. -The iPod iControlAV2 app works great and MUCH more user friendly than the unit’s remote - my wife can even use this receiver (with iControlAV2) and that is really saying something. -MCCAC setup was a breeze, very thorough, however I did have to manually raise the sub-woofer volume from the setting it calibrated. -To me its best features are the vtuner for free internet radio and Apple Airplay streaming from an iPod. -The user interface isn’t great, but acceptable - especially having previously owned a Denon - which is absurd and unusable for common users. -Video looks great, no loss whatsoever when compared with directly connecting a computer or FIOS into my HD TV. -Custom labeling of inputs is nice. -Song names displayed on the front is also nice. -Headphone sound is quite good.
Cons: Not necessarily cons - rather additional notes: -To the poster that complained it doesn’t support Airplay video – it’s not supposed to – only Apple TVs do -To the poster saying it takes 2~3 seconds to connect to Airplay - totally normal for any receiver to do this – has to connect \ stream from your iPod device -The process of setting up the vtuner wasn’t documented very well, but I figured it out. -Not a fault of Pioneer, but the vtuner’s website search feature (to search for internet radio stations) is non-existent – you have to scroll through pages of stations sometimes to find what you want -The manual could have been written a bit more clearly (understandable), but was actually better than some I’ve seen. -Volume fades up slowly when you raise it, then increases in speed - takes a few times to get used to it
Overall Review: I recommend this receiver for anyone looking for a well priced mid-range reciever with a ton of features.
I Like Dirt 3

Pros: Rich visuals and easy enough to keep me interested in "casual" mode, as I am not by any means a gamer - reasons below in "Other thoughts" section. Came bundled with a HIS IceQ H567Q1GD Radeon HD 5670 card Runs without a hitch, no studdering, etc
Cons: Had to create a Steam account in order to download it. Doing so was a fairly ugly process and I almost bailed - but glad I didn't. Can't bypass the movies and it takes too long to start the game as you have to log in and answer numerous prompts, the most annoying of which is the wait time to say "no, I don't want to log into my YouTube account" and then confirm, "no, I really don't want to log into my YouTube account"
Overall Review: I'm 52 years old and have neither the patience or desire to memorize a plethora of keystrokes needed to play games. I would play more games if they had less controls, but most that I've seen require a life commitment. Those are not for me - I'm just trying to kill some time and have some fun. That's why I really like Dirt 3. The cars in this game feel lifelike too. They respond reasonably similar to how real cars steer. What I like most is that I can play the entire game (so far) by just using the four directional keys. Really like that if I crash my car, I don't have to go to some garage and use up racing "points" to get things fixed, etc. Driving is the main focus of this game. I've played the past 4 nights and I'm not close to being bored. I like when my kid takes a turn driving, so I can see how rich the scenery really is. I whole-heartedly recommend this game to anyone who wants to race for fun but not commit their life to it.
Great Card - I bought it 2x

Pros: Plays movies and sound @ 1080p perfectly out of the card's HDMI port Games run smooth (I am not a high end gamer though) Quiet enough for a living room Great price Mine came bundled with a very fun game - Dirt3.
Cons: Can't think of a single con
Overall Review: I have this card in my livingroom HTPC attached to a 60" HDTV and it's so quite I dont' even know it's there. I am not a big-time gamer, but do I like to play sometimes. Primarily I use it to push .mkv and .avi file based movies and I have absolutely no complaints. I installed "Dirt 3", which came bundled with it - the graphics look fantastic and there are no artifacts when playing the game. This is the 2nd of these cards I've bought. My house got hit by lightning 10 days ago and blew out the first one (rest of computer was fine) as well as a Denon HDMI AV receiver. I originally purchased both through NewEgg and am replacing both through NewEgg. Side note - hated the Denon receiver and replaced it with the Pioneer VSX-1021-K, which the NewEgg tracker says is "out for delivery". Woo-hoo! Final impression from a mid-range user of this card - great value and performance and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an HDMI based video card.
Solved ALL My HTPC Sound and Video Problems

Pros: Easy seteup, just followed the directions.
Cons: None
Overall Review: This video card solved my HTPC sound problems. I have had quite a time over the years playing with the optical sound cable and getting 5.1 sound out of my strictly audio receiver. I recently purchased an AV receiver as well as this HDMI card and !viola! - instant perfect sound. Even on video games, which I've never been able to configure for 5.1 it worked flawlessly. Now bullets are pinging all around my living room. It's astoundingly better. I'm not a huge gamer, I mostly watch movies, etc but it handled MoH with all shaders and graphic options full on. Movies play smooth with no hiccups . Much of my previous problems involved trying to use the computer's SP\DIF port for high quality audio. The combination of stepping up to an HDMI receiver and using this nicely priced HDMI card solved three years of frustration! I contacted HIS for pre-sales support on helping me choose the right product for me. Their response was fast and the didn't push me to buy a more expensive card than needed.
