Best UPS ever

CyberPower CP900AVR AVR UPS Systems - 900VA/560W, 120 VAC, NEMA 5-15P, Mini-Tower, 10 Outlets, PowerPanel
CyberPower CP900AVR AVR UPS Systems - 900VA/560W, 120 VAC, NEMA 5-15P, Mini-Tower, 10 Outlets, PowerPanel

Pros: Handles over 500 watts Reliable Lots of outlets Lasts for years Easy to replace the batteries. (See other thoughts)

Cons: The batteries will eventually go out. (see other thoughts)

Overall Review: I purchased this UPS years ago and I finally had to replace the batteries in it because it would not stay on in a power outage. I looked through my Newegg Invoices and I found that I purchased it almost 7 years ago! Invoice date 10-26-2007. Wow, I put new batteries in it and it is just like new again! Still works great! It is a shame that the tech doesn't exist yet to make the batteries last longer, but 7 years for a sealed lead acid battery is actually quite good.

It keeps the bottom of laptop cool...

VANTEC LapCool4 Notebook Cooler LPC-420
VANTEC LapCool4 Notebook Cooler LPC-420

Pros: It cools the bottom of my laptop down. It has usb ports. It can run off usb alone. Works good on a table top.

Cons: Startup power is too much Doesn't work good on your lap

Overall Review: I give this a average rating because I didn't just buy this for the laptops sake. I was hopeing to use it to keep my lap from burning up from the laptop, but you have to make sure that the little legs it has are on your legs to hold it up or atleast leave some space under it so the fans can suck air in. It works great on a table top though. Also it causes a power surge on my older laptop which doesn't supply enough power to the usb port, but if I reset my usb port while it is pluged in then it seems to work fine. Works good on my newer laptop which does supply enough power. Just alot of extra steps to use it.

This motherboard was so close to being a perfect budget board, but sleep does not work.

SOYO Monarch Dragon AMD B550M Gaming Motherboard USB3.1 M.2 Nvme Sata3 Supports R5 3600 CPU (AM4 socket and R5 5600G 5600X CPU)

Pros: Was cheap when I got it on a sale Has some overclocking options that seem to work Seems to be fairly reliable in that it always boots and runs All the ports and connectivity you would ever reasonably need

Cons: Sleep doesn't work Bios seems incomplete with options missing and dead ends in the menu's Fan speed control doesn't work correctly for the cpu fan header, I plugged all the fans into the system fan header which can also be controlled by cpu temp and seems to work properly.

Overall Review: If you do not need or want sleep mode as an option then this is actually a very usable board, I have had no other problems with it. Yes I updated the bios, at least I think I have the right bios, their website is questionable. If a manufacturer wants to respond with a way to get sleep working, please do. If I can get sleep working I will change this to 4 eggs. I really like to use sleep and not having that as an option is a deal breaker for me. With what I have read, there should be an option in the bios to make sleep work. But as I typed above, the bios seems like it is not complete and things are missing. I initially thought that the missing sleep was because of my GPU, but I switched to my older GPU that I know sleep works perfectly on, and there is still no option for sleep. I ran the powercfg command and it tells me that sleep is not supported on a firmware (bios) level. Meaning that it is either missing from the bios, or misconfigured in the bios and I can't find any setting in the bios that will make it work. I used soyo boards years ago and they were rock solid, this one is a little disappointing.

It is a step up from the stock air cooler that came with my cpu, but the pump is loud! (and why did my review get changed?)

Cooler Master MasterLiquid 120L Core 120mm Close-Loop AIO Liquid Cooler, White LED Pump, Gen S Coldplate Pump, 120mm PWM, CryoFuze 14W/mK, AMD AM5/AM4, Intel LGA1851/1700/1200 (MLW-D12M-A17PK-R1)

Pros: small so it fits if your short on space Good cooling for a 120mm It keeps my cpu away from its 90 degree limit for about 5 minutes, allowing it to boost for longer. (the air cooler would hit 90 in 5 seconds)

Cons: The pump is very loud! My review description got deleted? It just can't keep up with my cpu indefinitely

Overall Review: I now came here (2-1-2025) to edit this review because I found that I was a little harsh, I didn't think it was cooling good, but I got a different aio to try and that other one I got was worse than the stock air cooler. So turns out that this one is actually pretty ok. I was going to bring it to 3 eggs because of this, but when I went to edit my review I found that all the details I had were gone. Who requested it to be deleted and why? What I can remember from 1-1-2025: Loud pump, the pump has this annoying whine that resonates through the computer's case. If it wasn't for the loud pump I would have given this 4 eggs. Not much better than the stock air cooler (turns out it is pretty ok) I can't remember what else was deleted but there was more to my review. Don't delete reviews just because you don't like the truth.

Seems like it works good

Team T-Force Delta RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Desktop Memory Model TF3D416G3200HC16FDC01

Pros: It worked right away and even let me apply the expo settings to set the optimal speed and it just works.

Cons: none

Overall Review: I got this ram "free" with the cpu I got. It worked right away and it runs at it's rated speed and I have had no problems with it. The rgb slowly changes and isn't that flashy which has not bothered me enough to figure out how to changes it (if you even can).

The ssd does work, and it gets decent speeds in short bursts

WD Blue 1TB SA510 M.2 Internal Solid State Drive SSD - WDS100T3B0B

Pros: Fast enough an ok price when I got it

Cons: Cheap controller cheap flash chips no ram cache

Overall Review: I was fairly disappointed to find that this drive uses the cheapest bottom of the barrel components. It works good now but it's longevity is questionable. It uses a sandisk controller and sandisk flash chips. It's basically a step up from a usb drive. I can find good used ssd's for the same price with better chips elsewhere.
