Cheap, works fine
Pros: Price is right. Fat 2T storage.
Cons: Completely plastic case. Bulky case compared to some of my other enclosures.
Overall Review: Drive doesn't seem to get terribly hot after extended use, so the plastic case ventilates better than it looks. No power switch; drive enables itself after both power & USB connected. This is slower than a power switch but seems to work OK. If you decide to take this apart for whatever reason (VOIDING the warranty), make sure you pry off the "Hitachi" front panel FIRST! This reveals two hidden screws that let you easily dismantle the case. USB interface works fine with other SATA HDDs.
Great while it lasted
Pros: One of the few 5.25" SATA USB 3.0 enclosures available.
Cons: Died after 6.5 months of light use, ripping discs.
Overall Review: In the middle of a BD read, the drive disappeared from my system. Restarted laptop, then kept trying to R&R the USB cable, using both USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports. Laptop recognized BD drive intermittently. I finally figured out that when I inserted the USB 3.0 cable into any USB port, the enclosure's LED would extinguish and the (loud) fan no longer spun. Appears that the enclosure's power supply went Tango Uniform. I subsequently removed my BD drive and completed the rip using a separate SATA/USB 2.0 interface. The enclosure is faulty. I'll probably order a new USB 3.0 A-A male cable as I've had problems with USB 3.0 cables. Hopefully the cable I received with this enclosure is the problem. In any case this assembly is not robust. My suggestion is to stick with USB 2.0 enclosures, they are more mature and reliable. (He says after his second USB 3.0 BD burner croaked...)
Love the software, hate the subscription
Pros: A great Newegg discount on the yearly vigorish.
Cons: Note that you are ordering a physical DVD with a registration code here.
Overall Review: I'm a fan of Quicken but I've had to hold my nose like all legacy users and deal with the yearly subscription vig.
Great gateway performance for the money
Overall Review: Purchased a second USG to backfill my original USG that had its primary WAN port burnt out by my idiotic ISP.
Works great in Moto E4+
Pros: Reasonably fast and stable. Decent price.
Overall Review: Needed a quick storage upgrade on my phone, this fit my bill perfectly.
Works as advertised with little hassle
Pros: Reliable VoIP client Reasonably priced, especially on sale
Cons: Wish Obihai still sold a 2XX VoIP adapter with a POTS line input. USB adapters are nice but the ObiLINE seems dicey.
Overall Review: I'm a big fan of the previous generation Obihai VoIP 1XX clients, and use two of them for my regular phone service. I purchased this 200 on sale for evaluation as a possible replacement for my Obi110. The 200 works well with Google Voice and Callcentric. However, Obihai discourages provisioning through the local web server, strongly suggesting that you use their cloud provisioning method instead. I need some customization to ensure proper E-911 function and did not spend enough time to figure out if it's even possible using the cloud application. To actually replace the Obi110 I'd need to purchase an ObiLINE USB adapter, another US$40 item that gets rather poor reviews for introducing echo and delay. But if you don't need to deal with actual POTS, the Obi200 is an excellent choice.
Quickly handled shipping and RMA
Shipped my heavy item very quickly. Item was unfortunately defective and processed my RMA just as quickly.
