Pros: Liked the NVMe capability while it lasted.
Cons: Had to pay shipping to RMA to Gigabyte.
First board failure of about 20 built over the years.
Overall Review: I liked it while it lasted and look forward to getting the replacement.
Pros: Great sound, lots of great features. It was the center of my entertainment system with lots of HDMI ports and sending sound to remote speakers in several rooms of my house. Completely satisfied while it was working.
Can't wait to get it back or a new one.
Cons: Unit suddenly failed to work. When powered on it would turn itself off in about 15 seconds after going through a few screens. Took unit to the factory service location in Austin, Texas. After nine days I was told that the unit needed a part that was not in the country and that it will take four to six weeks to recieve it and that Yamaha's policy is to decide what to do after you wait 30 days. This kind of wait is unacceptable in today's world. I had a similar failure of a new Samsung TV. Talked to live service rep who scheduled service. I called factory service company in Austin, Tx, took it in the next morning and they had already ordered and received the main circuit board and called me that afternoon telling me that it was ready for pick up.
What a difference in companies.
Pros: Worked great. Dropped on motherboard chipset and it is whisper quiet.
Pros: This is the quietest power supply that I have ever owned. I had previously been a big Antec fan but will stick with this brand in the future.
Pros: Additional ports.
Cons: Does not pass video on DV5000 and contrary to every other docking station I have used, you have to leave the notebook open to keep it powered up. Since I have passed the return deadline, I am giving this away. What a waste.
