COOLER MASTER Silent Pro M700 RS-700-AMBA-D3 700W ATX12V V2.3 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Very quiet and reliable power supply. Great looking and stable. Easy to install even with the rubber vibration dampeners.

Cons: none

Overall Review: Figure out what cable you will use and where you will run them before you install the unit.

Most Critical Review

It's not the cases' fault it's made by cooler master

Cooler Master Storm Scout SGC-2000-KKN1-GP Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Cooler Master Storm Scout SGC-2000-KKN1-GP Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: The case itself is good... it's a piece of aluminum. Looks good, nice powder coat.

Cons: CM customer service is horrific. Both LED fans failed and after submitting 2 eRMA's for each fan I decided to email on the status. Same day reply and the rep indicated the eRMA was processed and should be shipped within 24 hours. 2 weeks later (after no package) I decided to chat with Marvin (CM rep.) and he indicated (once again) that the fans should ship within 24 hours. Then after another two weeks I emailed Marvin all my correspondence asking him to look into the matter only to get no reply this time. Count it up... 1st eRMA Dec~15, 2nd eRMA ~Jan 5, 1st email ~Jan 13, 2nd live chat ~Jan 31, final email ~feb 14 and no reply!

Overall Review: Why have eRMA if CM doesn't honor the requests? Anyway, I know they're just fans... but still... it's the customer service. Got some 140mm (rival brand) replacement fans off NewEgg with a great $10 rebate on each one.

it's ASUS...

ASUS M4A79XTD EVO AM3 AMD 790X ATX AMD Motherboard
ASUS M4A79XTD EVO AM3 AMD 790X ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: I love the reliability and features of this board. I bought this board partially due to brand loyalty but it does not lack in features at all. Plenty of ports and easy to set up with my quad core CPU

Cons: 4 of the 6 SATA ports are touching my HD's when I slide the board into position, mine still work fine. But see if that will be an issue for you depending on your HD location.

Overall Review: Another note, SATA RAID configuration was a little bit not what I was expecting. Enabling the raid controller requires you to use all ports as part of some kind of raid configuration only. No biggie seeing as how I want all RAID anyway.

awesome graphics performance

XFX Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card HD-577A-ZNFC

Pros: This GPU screams for me... I mostly use my computer for internet and music. But occasionally I play some games from steam like Dirt 2 or CS source and this is MOREE than enough! for my max res @ 1920x1200 I think it is pretty quiet too.

Cons: kinda long, but not a problem for me

Wow

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition - Phenom II X4 Deneb Quad-Core 3.4 GHz Socket AM3 125W Processor - HDZ965FBGMBOX

Pros: Wow... Sooooo fast! and what a value over Intel.

Cons: No escaping the out dating problem... x6 is out now :(

Overall Review: I can't seem to give this processor a challenge.

Great ram

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM

Pros: Fast and great looking ram. Can work in an AMD system if you manually adjust the settings in the BIOS per the G.Skill instructions.

Cons: none

Overall Review: Got this ram to match the color scheme of my system (Blue)
