Windows 7 Ultimate/Professional
Pros: Excellent OS rating for both Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Ultimate.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: For everyone who is being misled with reviewers stating that Windows 7 Pro & Windows 7 Ultimate being the same as Windows 8. Not true at all. Carefully examine the two OS's. Windows 8 is "pure junk". Windows 7 Pro has the exact start-up screen as Windows Vista. Windows 7 Ultimate has no resemblance to Windows 8. Absolutely none at all. I have computers in my office that run all three of these systems. There's a difference in functionality as there is in daylight to darkness. Don't believe anyone that tells you that they are the same. It simply is not true.
Roxio Easy CD&DVD Burning 2011
Pros: NONE!
Cons: If you purchase this piece of junk...then you just got conned.
Overall Review: I agree with Radarman1. This is a "moneywaster" for anyone who has purchased it. It doesn't work with anything. It kills your DVD Decrypter software and doesn't allow you to burn anything. If it wasn't for having to rate it at least 1 star, I wouldn't even rate it.
Sony Optiarc
Pros: Added Windows 10 Pro to the mix. This drive will work while installing windows, but does not play any dvd's afterwards. Anyone wish to provide some advice on this matter? Would love to be able to use this thing for a few more years. It has to share the driver setup with Sapphire Nitro+ RX480 4gb/256-bit video card. Wondering if there is a conflict there?
Cons: Simply looks cheap without the Sony Logo affixed on tray door in raised chrome letters or silver logo.
Overall Review: It gets the job done, just looks cheap. Would look awesome in my black case with the raised chrome/brushed aluminum SONY LOGO. Instead, I just use it as an external drive. Gonna go to the local hobby shop to try and find some peel & stick chrome letters and create a SONY LOGO of my own, then install the drive in a bay.
Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 480
Pros: The card seems to be a good card, but Sapphire forgot to add a driver pkg. for Windows7(32-Bit). I just purchased this card on Jan. 9, 2017 and I was sent a disc that only had the drivers for Windows7 (64-bit) operating system. When I went to the Sapphire website, they only had access for the Windows7 (64-bit) operating system also. This, to me, is useless. Windows 7 (32-bit) operating system doesn't recognize the videocard/graphics card, therefore rendering it useless for that O.S. Is this what Sapphire has evolved into? I certainly hope not, because I've always used their graphics cards in all of my builds.
Cons: Sapphire Technology, the manufacturer of this card, does not have a contact phone number. They want you to go thru a vigorous and senseless online hassle. My question is this: Did they not expect to see this type of feedback once this graphics card hit the market and became popular, or have they hit the, "I just don't give a hoot" level when it comes to their customer database?
Overall Review: I really can't say anything that hasn't already been said about this product and Sapphire. I'm sure that the card will perform flawlessly once it is paired with the Windows 10 (64-bit) O.S., but until then, I guess I lose a customer due to there being "no driver pkg." for Windows 7 Pro.(32-bit) O.S. I will work diligently with the customer to try and get them to upgrade to Windows 10 (64-bit) O.S. He has already spent over $ 1,500 on his personal/gaming combo rig, so another $200 shouldn't matter....ya think?
Corsair Vengeance(black module)
Pros: Price/Quality. Again.....best memory modules on the planet.
Cons: None....what part of none would you not understand? Corsair doesn't need any cons......they make the best memory on the planet.....PERIOD.
Overall Review: Paired 2 red modules @ CAS 8 & 2 black modules @ CAS 8 on an MSI 970A-G46, WD 5000HHTZ VelociRaptor (10k rpm), Sapphire Radeon HD7850(2Gb-256 bit), AMD AthlonII X3 450(3.4GHz tri-core), none of which is overclocked, Windows 7 Professional 64-bit OS. On a rate chart which 7.9 is considered tops, Windows Experience rates the rig 7.3 Not too shabby for a "non-SSD" rig. It's Corsair for me Podnah. I highly recommend the memory modules produced by Corsair to anyone. You get your money's worth here.
Radeon HD7850
Pros: Price & functionality. Great card for the money. Don't know how well it will overclock, 'cause I have no need for that right now. 2GB/256-bit, GDDR5 on-card memory, 1024 stream processor elements, being supported by AMD, Corsair, Western Digital, MSI Computer, Windows 7 Pro-64.....really...who needs to overclock? There is an overclock version of this card, for those who feel the need, and it's awesome in it's own rights.
Cons: Nobody can keep them in stock. When you pair these with the proper supporting hardware/software, they become awesome performers and Newegg, Tiger-Direct, and some of the other distributors will find themselves scrambling to meet the demand for this card and it's overclocking sibling.
