Works with ASRock x470 Master SLI/ac & Ryzen 7 3800x & Ryzen 9 3950x
Pros: - Crucial website showed it should work with x470 motherboards - Overclocks to DDR4-3200 (not that anyone should be doing that normally) - The overclock frequency is not bad considering the stock frequency and timings - It works really well with Zen+ and Zen2 CPU
Cons: - Not faster (would like stock DDR4-3200 or DDR4-3600 speeds) as Zen2/Zen3 need higher frequency RAM to get the best processing value from the CPU. - Difficult or impossible to find this RAM on Crucial website searches
Overall Review: (review has been updated 2020-07-03) This ram seemed to operate correctly (recognized by Windows 10 with multi-bit correction) but initially my ASRock x470 Master SLI/ac motherboard didn't like warm reboot with this ram. A BIOS update was required. (Update 10/22/2019) After a few days passed after submitting a ticket with ASRock they replied and I was able to successfully test a beta BIOS. The initial recognition after installing the ram is fixed along with the warm reboot and boot loop problems are fixed when using this RAM. Working well. Thank you ASRock! Stock Timings: 19-19-19-43-61 @1.2v (Update 12/04/2019) Working on beta BIOS L3.67 "AMD AGESA Combo-AM4 1.0.0.4 Patch B" with Ryzen 7 3800x 32GB DDR4-2666 ok and overclock to DDR4-3200 - ok (2 dimms) 64GB DDR4-2666 ok and overclock to DDR4-3200 - ok (4 dimms) Overclock Timings: 20-20-20-44-66 tRFC=480 @1.35v Also works on ASRock B450M Pro4 w/ BIOS/UEFI 3.50 & Ryzen 5 2600 CPU. (Update 07/03/2020) Working on official BIOS P3.70 "AMD AGESA Combo-AM4 1.0.0.4 Patch B" with Ryzen 9 3950x 64GB DDR4-2666 ok - overclock to DDR4-3200 - ok (4 dimms) Overclock Timings: 20-20-20-44-66 tRFC=480 @1.35v Also works on ASRock B450M Pro4 w/ BIOS/UEFI 3.50 & Ryzen 5 2700 CPU.
works great except in the cold and rain
Pros: - works great - works with Synology NAS using generic driver
Cons: - constantly resets in the cold/rain and becomes unusable - not officially supported by Synology NAS yet
Overall Review: - will post an updated review after some usage ( updated 9/3 ) All my problems started after upgrading the firmware after I bought it. This broke compatibility with Synology DS418j NAS. The last winter was a total failure as it would constantly reset and never become operational in the cold. This past summer it was also resetting in the rain (heavy moisture) and becomes unusable but in the dry heat it seems to work. There seems to be a new firmware update now v3.1.0.956_22041511_v1.0.0.30 will see if that works to help fix problems otherwise I think I got a defective unit.
Put this module into a DS920+ and enjoy the extra RAM goodness.
Pros: - 16GB
Cons: - not ECC
Overall Review: - It's SODIMM ram that works.
The case is both affordable and great fir ITX builds
Pros: - You can do a lot in this ITX case
Cons: - Top fan mounts will sag over time. Cooler Master should just have stuck with standard mounting screws - Top I/O ports seem cheaply made and my USB port broke (contact pins folded in).
Overall Review: - The biggest problem I have is my top USB port broke after inserting a USB stick. The replacement for the front I/O is really expensive to the point I might as well just leave it broken forever. It would be great if Cooler Master could give me a replacement front I/O module. - Cannot top mount an AIO or custom water cooling radiator
Works well in X570 Tiachi and 5950x
Pros: - Mine was DDR4-3200 Micron ECC
Cons: - Default timings are not that great.
Overall Review: - Change dram voltage to 1.35v to make this DDR4-3200 CL22 ram kit potentially a DDR4-3200 CL16 ram kit (obviously you must test and setup timings yourself)
Still a fine product and handles 5950x like a champ
Pros: - I got the rev 1.06 board that fixes the placement of the internal USBC header - 3 NVMe slots - Clear CMOS button - Power and reset buttons on board - BIOS flashback - RGB works well - Works with DDR4 ECC RAM
Cons: - Armor makes it impossible to install NVMe drives without taking out the GPU. - As with many X570 boards with the chipset fan large GPU's will obstruct the fan cooling
Overall Review: - If you get this board you must put a 5950x into it! - VRM's are great quality - Use a water cooled GPU so the chipset fan can get some cool air when needed
