Worked like a charm
Pros: "B" & "R" molded into the plastic so you know which way the power connect fits on. Both sides of the adapter keyed so you can only fit the IDE ribbon and laptop HDD on one way. Hooked up laptop HDD to desktop to save some files after I messed up a Windows installation beyond repair.
Overall Review: Be sure you hook the power cord to the adapter the proper way. The black write attaches to the side with the "B" and the red wire attaches to the side with the "R" Also make sure to connect the power cord itself to the correct side of the molex connector. Black to black and red to red, not black to black and red to yellow.
Pros: - Single player plays just like movie: the graphics are INCREDIBLE, there are no load screens, and the game transitions into the cut-scenes seamlessly. - I honestly think Naught Dog worked with movie directors to create this game. The plot is incredibly interesting and entertaining, while still seeming believable. You become completely pulled into the plot, and you feel connected with the characters (wide variety too). Easily the best single player game I've ever played in my life. - New multiplayer is a huge success. Great maps, great cover system, great balance of weapons and boosters. High ranked players are motivated to use perks that actually hinder them (half health, half ammo, etc.) in order to earn more money - this keeps the game balanced by giving less-experienced players a better chance against high-ranked players. - Naughty Dog is continuously updating/fixing/improving the online multiplayer. They really listen to the community and give the people what they want.
Cons: None. If there were any cons, Naughty Dog would be in the process of patching the game to fix it anyways.
Overall Review: Uncharted 2 has already won 4 "Game of the Year" awards among many others. You can't call yourself a true PS3 fan without having this exclusive title in your collection.
Great Mobo, very pleased
Pros: 4xRAM slots, 2x PCI-E x16, SATA ports, Reset CMOS button, POST display on the board, nice looking black board + green PCI-E slots look great in my case. Northbirdge heatsink + fan, various LEDs showing power, CPU overheating, etc. EVGA updates BIOS every so often. Lifetime warranty. First time builder, and everything booted up and installed just fine. No problems whatsoever.
Cons: Video corruption is apparently an issue for others (I was lucky enough to dodge it), but EVGA is working on BIOS updates to fix it (although it may be permanent). I took a chance buying this board knowing full well that I may get a corrupted board, but luckily I got a perfect board. Right-angled SATA ports were hard for me to use because my hard drive cage is right next to it. Not sure who's fault that is (mobo or case).
Overall Review: Q6600 2.4 GHz with Zalman 9500A Cooler, EVGA 750iFTW SLI, OCZ 700W GameXStream, 4GB (2x2) OCZ 1000MHz RAM, EVGA 8800GT Superclocked, Seagate 250GB SATA HDD, NZXT Alpha Black Case, Vista 64-bit
Pros: Works fine, has enough cables, blue LED, Lifetime warranty, legit rebates. Fan actually puts out a pretty good amount of air. I've had this PSU for about a month and a half, and no problems so far.
Cons: Cables are a bit long for me, but I'm using a ATX-Mid case, and OCZ must make the cables long enough for all customers, including the ones using Full towers.
Overall Review: 2nd purchase from OCZ, and I would definitely make another purchase from them. 2 purchases and 2 successful rebates. OCZ has great support in their forums. Great Case, A+
Pros: Cheap price after rebate; solid design. Side fans are always a plus. Window is nice and big, looks beautiful with my rig inside. Nice, sleek, and shiny black finish on the pain. Drive covers with buttons, so regardless of what color your disk drive is, it will look nice. Blue LED fan + blue lights shining out the glass along the edges of the front of the case. Easy and tool less installation of disk drives and hard drives. Easy removal of front panel. Easy removal of side fan (it uses plastic-lock-type-things instead of screws).
Cons: Hard drive cage is not removable. Sleek black finish shows finger smudges easily, but that’s expected with such a nice finish on the paint. No room to hide extra cables; I ended up tucking them away inside empty drive bays. FRONT FAN: Yes, it is hard to install a fan in the front of the case by the hard drive cage, but it IS possible. Just wedge in the fan as much as you can, and then start pounding it in with the palm of your hand. Don’t worry, the metal in the front will give and bend (not permanently out of shape), and the fan will slide in. Then remove the front panel but pushing out the 6 locking pins from the inside, and then screw in the fan from the outside (where you removed the front panel).
Overall Review: Lets hope the rebate comes through Q6600 2.4 GHz with Zalman 9500A Cooler, EVGA 750iFTW SLI, OCZ 700W GameXStream, 4GB (2x2) OCZ 1000MHz RAM, EVGA 8800GT Superclocked, Seagate 250GB SATA HDD, NZXT Alpha Black Case, Vista 64-bit
Great monitor, great price.
Pros: Bright, widescreen, inexpensive, DVI + VGA input.
Cons: The built-in speakers are worthless, but I knew that before I bought it, and I have my old HP speakers hooked up anyways.
Overall Review: If you're looking for an inexpensive, yet good quality widescreen monitor, and you already have good desktop speakers, this is the monitor for you. Newegg shipping and customer service was great, as always.
