Max pressure 1.87 mm H2O
Pros: This fan pushes (barely) quite a lot of air thru it's blades, and is very quiet.
Cons: There are no front mounts, it's "back pressure" rating is near critically low.
Overall Review: There is no free lunch. In order to perform better on one area - the sacrifice was made in another. To have large amounts of air flow AND low noise the "max pressure" performance was seriously limited. If there is ANY restriction at all in the application that you have in mind; then you will NOT achieve the 54 CFM rating of this fan. Cavitation occours when the air spins around with the blades instead of traveling thru them - there is little to no airflow during cavitation. Please stop complaining that; "it won't fit" it is clearly NON-STANDARD. The holes do line up w/120mm fans, but the outter case is bigger (130mm) and fully round. Use a measuring tape first or get a dremel tool, fool!
You get what you pay for -- regrets!
Pros: Very Quiet, almost no bearing noise, very mild actuator noise. Fast reads 92MB/s
Cons: Very slow write speeds 53MB/s, gets hot.
Overall Review: I was happy to get these after the long UPS wait, so I installed and benchmarked them individually and as a group. I was very dissapointed to see write speeds actually SLOWER than my 10k 18g U160 fujitsu's. The cumulitive affect (of having multiple drives) on a larger array is devestating. I saved a couple bucks (and there weren't enough Fujitsu's in stock) so I made a huge mistake and got this trash.
Dead after 30 days
Pros: low power, quiet,
Cons: life expectancy
Overall Review: Years ago I did a build with all the parts by manufacturers starting with the letter "A". The Asus parts died one after another and were replaced by what I had on hand. After that I called the rig A-minus. This is the first time buying Asus in more than a decade. It's my fault. I will not make that mistake again.
Pros: Running somewhat more efficiently. My power draw during memtest has dropped from 212 watts with my Antec PS to 195 watts with the FSP, desktop and video stress tests showed similar improvements.
Cons: Too many connectors makes it hard to get it all in the case. Looks like a cheap plastic toy made for idiot boys. It took forever to get here!
Overall Review: I guess the reason they made it look like this and spent way too much on sleek packaging is that they will do whatever it takes to make money. I really just needed a more efficient PS. If newegg customers demanded function over form; the prices would drop and actual quality would increase. Trying to make it do everything for everybody means it won't do anything outstanding. FSP succeeds in mediocrity -- yawn.
Unusable not universally compatible
Pros: It is green
Cons: Won't work in my car. Iogears FAQ's on the device are completely blank/empty, their online chat was not manned when I am awake.
Overall Review: I am not new to this; I googled my noodle trying to figure it out. I tried everything. It works with my 2gig SD and my32 gig MicroSD, but not in my car. It reads and writes from my workstation (at home) and my laptop at work, it plays data formatted by my phone on my computer and vice versa, my phone and camera both work as USB drives in my car as well as the dollar store USB stick I bought just to make sure. Everything works in my car stereo USB port except this iogear reader/writer. If I could use it anywhere else I'd give it more stars, if there was ANY help from IOgear at all I'd give it 2 more stars. But, I didn't buy this for my laptop or workstation, I got it for my car -- it just can't be seen by my prius! I'm tired of looking to solve this problem brought on by a manufacturer releasing a product before they even know if it will work. Congratulations -- 1 star.
Ripped off by Microsoft again.
Pros: I now have another backup K & M.
Cons: They are unusable, mouse is lighter than paper, wire is stiff, if you remove your hand from the mouse the wire pushes the mouse forward or pulls it off the desk. I keep loosing my "focus" on form fields. I have no real problem with the keyboards operation -- it just makes me feel dirty (like being violated) to have that MS logo on my desk.
Overall Review: I replaced this set (only days later) with a logitech wireless and I am very happy with them.
