AAA 4k gaming no problem

ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 3080 AMP Holo 10GB GDDR6X 320-bit 19 Gbps PCIE 4.0 Gaming Graphics Card, HoloBlack, IceStorm 2.0 Advanced Cooling, SPECTRA 2.0 RGB Lighting, ZT-A30800F-10P
ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 3080 AMP Holo 10GB GDDR6X 320-bit 19 Gbps PCIE 4.0 Gaming Graphics Card, HoloBlack, IceStorm 2.0 Advanced Cooling, SPECTRA 2.0 RGB Lighting, ZT-A30800F-10P

Pros: The card installed fine without any issues with drivers etc, running 4k with HDR at 144Hz and games and movies really pop. Card has a sturdy backplate and even mounted horizontally it doesn't sag in the system.

Cons: Icestorm 2.0 gets a big thumbs down and is the reason for the loss of an egg. The card is very loud and hot running 4K. Although I get better FPS and overall graphics quality from my 2070 Super that this card replaced it was nearly silent and ran far cooler than this card. The onboard RGB requires you to run their proprietary software. Manufacturers need to get together and come up with a standard for RGB or at the very least pick something that exists already instead of requiring yet another piece of software to run.

Overall Review: The card is fine and runs everything as it should. If I had it to do over again, I would have stayed with my 2070 super. Although the card runs hot, its within specs at 80 degrees. If it weren't for the noise level I would probably overlook it if it weren't for all the hype about the "Icestorm technology" If you want a 30 series graphics card and this is what you can get, go for it. When I'm able to, I will replace this card with an MSI gaming trio x for the fan noise and to get back the motherboard RGB integration that I lost. The RGB is minor, and expected, but I simply prefer to have one place to control it all. I bought this version of the card because I was able to get it from the shuffle (thanks Newegg) and I feel this card does what it is supposed to do and is on par with other mainstream cards.

Most Critical Review

Works but with issues

NETGEAR WNR854T Wireless Router Gigabit Edition IEEE802.11n draft specification IEEE802.11g, IEEE 802.11b
NETGEAR WNR854T Wireless Router Gigabit Edition IEEE802.11n draft specification IEEE802.11g, IEEE 802.11b

Pros: 300 MB/sec with netgear wireless adapter(s). GB wired net.

Cons: As other reviews have said, many things not working with this router. The three biggies for me are: 1. DHCP reservations don't seem to work. 2. MTU handling is broken which means MSN messenger and hotmail (and a few other Microsoft sites don't work. 3. RIP is not working.

Overall Review: I have no idea what the holdup is with getting these firmware issues resolved, but until then I suggest you check the netgear support page for this router and make sure none of the issues are important to you as many functions are not working yet with this router. There is a HUGE improvement in speed with the 300MB/sec wireless and GB wired, just make sure you can use it. :S

GPS issues otherwise OK

Overall Review: Picture quality is good, everything seems to work but the GPS reception is easily blocked. I initially had the unit affixed to the windshield near the top and 90% of the time the GPS tracking and speed would not work. After moving it to the bottom (which also moved it significantly forward) the GPS is working fine but now the unit is too far away to use the manual save function to capture an on demand video. Shock detection also does work to grab video, but of course its an event driven video so you see what happens after the shock. The night vision is adequate. At this price point I consider the unit to be a good value just don't expect perfection. I did contact support regarding the GPS issue but they could not offer any meaningful help other than basic check your settings kind of response. They did offer a partial refund to not return the product. My vehicle has a bunch of electronics behind the mirror and I suspect this interfered with the ability of the unit to receive the GPS signal. The screen is very small and the menus are difficult to read, but manageable. My 3 egg review should not be considered negative, its an OK product for what it is given its low cost. I won't be returning the product, but I'm not going to keep it either. I will give the product to my son who has a car with a basic rear view mirror and I suspect it will work fine for him.

Doesn't fit into 2.5" hot swap bays.

Cablecc SATA 22Pin to USB 3.0 to CFast Card adapter 2.5 inch Hard Disk Case SSD HDD CFast Card Reader for PC Laptop

Pros: Works fine

Cons: Designed for internal mounting only.

Overall Review: The horizontal alignment is fine, but the vertical alignment is a little too high to work in an external hot swap bay. The bracket they use is custom made, so there is no real reason for it not to be made to work.

High DOA

Western Digital RE2 WD5000YS 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: It is big.

Cons: 1 out of 4 drives arrived DOA (wouldn't spin up). None of the tests I was able to do came even close to 3Gb/s.

Overall Review: I wish I would have bought the Hitachi.
