Pros: It runs quite fast.....not all that much to say except that this is the cheapest performance you're going to get from RAM. I handles BF2 quite well with only 1GB, and with two....it would be just incredible. Get two of these if you need to multitask, I was playing BF2, listening to music and surfing the Net and the memory usage was up at 98%, but upgrading to 2GBs should fix that....

Cons: Well.....the timings are pretty high, and it doesn't want to run at 667MHz on my ECS 570-SLI mobo, I have to go into B.I.O.S. to set it to 667, but that's about all...

Overall Review: The heatspreader seems to do its job reasonably well. Buy it at Newegg and nowhere else, they are da bomb!

Pros: Once a great video card.....

Cons: ....once. This is still a great card but not at this price!! Not when you have the 8800GTS 320MB for a lot less buck and a LOT more bang! Check the reviews on places like Tom's Hardware and sites like that, you will see that this is no longer top dog around here. Take, for instance, the 7950GX2 (dual 500MHz GPUs, 1GB video memory total, 48 pixel pipelines, etc..). Pretty powerful card, right, at least compared to this? Well take this quote from Tom's Hardware:"The 8800 GTS is slightly crippled compared to the GTX, but it will still beat powerhouse cards like the dual-GPU 7950 GX2 in many cases." That kind of performance is not available in a card like this 7800GTX. Think again before you buy.

Overall Review: I know I'm not supposed to reference any other sites, but...although I almost always come here for all my comp needs, I have made one purchase from T!ger D!rect, and all I can say is...NEWEGG RULZ!!

Pros: I came back to the Egg and grabbed a second gig for my rig (ECS-NForce570-SLI mobo, now 2GB of this RAM, PD 2.8 processor, 3vga 7900GS KO). With 1GB of this RAM and the video card overclocked to 600MHz core and 1600 (800x2) memory I could play BF2 demo online at 1024x768 medium/medium-high settings (+4xAA+16xAF) with very good performance, and now after upgrading to 2GB of RAM and overclocking the video card to same core speed and 1650MHz memory I play at same res and AA/AF with all settings maxed except no shadows and get 95% flawless performance.

Cons: The price is so low that people are going to think this is a scam ;), and low enough for me to consider getting more when I don't really need it.

Overall Review: School will be over soon, can't wait for vacation, etc, etc.....

Pros: IMO the best "budget" high-end video card out there.

Cons: Vista drivers......"nuff said

Overall Review: to "azjazz" M$ Flight Simulator X is very CPU bound, perhaps the most CPU bound game out there. Upgrading the graphics card will not increase performance whatsoever, but a faster processor will help a lot. This will rock once the Vista drivers are improved and Crysis is released. :-)

Pros: Some one has finally seen the fact that......

Cons: ......you can get a significantly better card (the 8800GTS 320MB) for actually a little less. Check out the Tom's Hardware The Best Gaming Video Cards for the Money: March 2007, and look at the hierarchy chart; the 7800GTX is 4 levels down from the 8800GTS(640MB), and the 320MB performs almost as well overall.

Pros: The 2GBs of storage is enough for files like game demos and large music/video files, OCZ brand/warranty......the color. I uploaded Command and Conquer 3 demo (great game BTW :), which is a 1.17 GB file, and it took almost exactly two minutes. Now that's fast!!

Cons: Well, as others have mentioned, the cap is fairly easy to lose. I heard about this and though, "Oh they must have been careless with it, I'll do better", and then proceeded to lose it after a couple of weeks (found that I had simply left it in another room). But others have suggested reasonable solutions to this issue, so I will say no more.

Overall Review: I want a free Alienware ALX with this.
