Motorola T225 Bluetooth
Pros: This is the first bluetooth device I owned and I'm very happy I bought it I just enabled bluetooth pairing with my cell phone and it's connected. Voice is very loud and clear (no static or hum) volume control and long battery life as long as you turn off the power switch at the end of the day. Has voice recognition for hands free dialing, I guess depending on what kind of cell phone you have. Comes with a car charger but I don't use it because the charger for my cell can be used with it.
Cons: No charger to plug in the house, only car charger.
Overall Review: Nice device because they've passed the law here in Las Vegas for using cell while driving, I don't wanna get a ticket.
This USB PCI Card gave me a lot of headache
Pros: Windows 7 loaded drivers automatically and has 2 external USB and one internal 9 pin header.
Cons: After a few weeks Windows 7 BSOD after loading gave me driver IRQ not less or equal error. Sometimes crashes before loading OS.
Overall Review: I bought this card because I needed an extra internal USB header. My MB only has 2 ( gigabyte GA-870A-UD3). I base my purchase on other peoples review about this card they have windows 7 and everything was working fine. On newegg.com windows 7 is not supported OS but on the manufacturers website it is. At first I thought it was my RAM so I RMAed my RAM but after it still crashes. I thought it was my drivers so I updated all my drivers, still crashes. I thought it was my PRO-LCD (M-Play) so I uninstalled it and my TV Tuner but still crashes. Finally I uninstalled this PCI card and I disabled the PORT and COM in Bios and what do you know it fixed it! My HTPC is now rock solid stable no more crashes or BSOD! I just ordered the StarTech PCI USB Card I hope that one would work it's windows 7 compatible. I hope this posting will help somebody, thanks.
TP-LINK TL-R860 Router
Pros: Very fast download speed compared to my linksys 4 port router and this one has 8 ports. I checked the speed on speedtest.net download speed on my old linksys about 7Mbps this one about 20Mbps very big difference no lagging when streaming video.
Cons: Chassis is made of plastic, I wish it was metal and color is white and black I wish it was all black. But this is only my personal preference.
Overall Review: This is only to help people who have problem connecting this. If you have COX Cable as your internet provider and your modem has connection for telephone press the reset button on the back of the modem instead of just unplugging the modem as I did. I didn"t know that the modem has back-up battery and unplugging it doesn't reset it. It's the reason I can't connect to the internet my modem did not recognize my router, dumb of me until I called COX Cable tech support and find out. After resetting I just ran CD that came with it and everything connected easily.
Recertified: Netgear XET1001-100NAR
Pros: Very easy to connect basically plug one from your router and plug another to your computer runs on house wiring and speeds are decent for broadband. More secure than wireless.
Cons: not really a con but for the price it's recertified.
Overall Review: I have two of these connected to the one from the router, one for my bedroom computer and another to a ROKU player. Both connections are very fast.
Logitech S-220 2.1 Speakers
Pros: The sound is great for this tiny speaker system. The subwoofer has good bass also. More than adequate for music unless you're looking for something that will make your neighbors mad from the volume.
Cons: The hub that controls the volume is kinda light you might need double stick tape to secure it. Also the LED light is too bright it's kind of distracting because it's shining directly in front of you if you mount it on top of the monitor.
Overall Review: I bought this for my nephew's computer but I also own a different Logitech speakers which has slightly more power and that one is good also. I trust logitech brand I own keyboards and mice with there brand and it's all good.
