Comments: I was hesitant on buying this drive over some of the cheaper drives, but I am glad I spent the extra money. The first thing that I noticed was how quiet this drive was compared to the older 20gb drives most of our laptops come with. This drive is silent...purely amazing. Plus the added benefits of the performance of the drive and the excelent service from newegg and you can't loose.

Comments: Seems to work fine on XP SP1 machines and any hard drive I put on it. Will <font>u</font>pdate review if I find any problems.

Comments: Like it says in a previous post, these are the Ritek G04. These will burn at 8X on a NEC2500A with the correct firmware from herrie. Havent made a coaster yet burning at 8X. Great price and service from newegg.

Comments: I am very pleased with this unit. I needed a digital output on my home theatre computer. Since the case is a 1/2 height case, I could not use an internal PCI sound card. This was the only alternative I could find. Does what I wanted it to....The only problem I had was that the USB cable was not included like in the description and the pictures. I called newegg and had a new cable in 2 days. Newegg has the best service around!
