Pros: Excellent air handling capabilities, low noise at speeds below 80%, removable impeller for easy cleaning, includes silicone rubber mounts for near silent operation, Nanoflux bearing is self-lubricating (eliminates oil leakage issues), wire leads are sheathed and long enough to reach nearly anywhere in a mid-tower.
Cons: Only con I can report is that after a month and a half of operation, one of three that I purchased has developed an intermittent bearing hiss.
Overall Review: When you mount these, if you mount them with screws... 1: Make sure it mounts FLAT! If the shroud is flexed or bent even a little, the tolerances between the impeller and shroud are tight enough you will experience contact between the two. This is not a design flaw, this is what allows it to push so much air. 2: If it is too loud for you either adjust the case fan speed in your bios or use the included voltage reduction patch cord. As for my bearing hiss, if anyone has a solution please let me know.
Pros: None, it doesn't work...
Cons: Either I got a DOA adapter or this is not compatible with AMD cards by MSI. I've tried it with a HD 6950 2Gb PE/OC Frozr 3 and 5770 Hawk, neither one detected it. (Doesn't seem to matter if it's the only monitor or one of several)
Overall Review: If there is a simple solution to this, I am all ears. I'm not going to hold my breath waiting though. Probably will end up RMA'ing this and finding an adapter that is powered, but it seems silly to have to spend nearly as much on the adapter as I did on the screen it will attach to.
