Mine works great!9/22/2021 7:48:26 AM

Overall Review: I've had it for 5 months now and it works great. Be warned though that many SSD manufacturers have started a new trend where they create products that are great and then later they change the components and the newer versions are not as good as the older ones. A new-age bait and switch. I think that's slimy. First it gets great reviews for a while and then the company starts producing inferior quality versions that are slower and have lower endurance. Do some research on that before you buy your next SSD

Works perfectly9/22/2021 7:36:17 AM

Pros: Keeps my Ryzen 9 3800X CPU plenty cool, even at max load, and this cooler is relatively small and finally in black. I love it! The high quality I've come to expect from Noctua

Overall Review: Keeps my CPU plenty cool and this cooler is relatively small and finally in black. I love it! The high quality I've come to expect from Noctua. Of course, your case should have good ventilation. If your case doesn't have good ventilation then your CPU could overheat, even if you buy the best CPU cooler

Excellent Quality9/22/2021 7:33:33 AM

Overall Review: I always buy these G.Skill Ripjaws because I never have any problems with them. I've built 2 Ryzen machines and I usally run the clock speed on the ram lower than the ram listing, but I tighten up the timings. My Ryzen 7 1700X desires DDR2666 so I run it at 1333 MHz at CL14 (NOTE: With DDR, the clock speed is half what you think because each clock cycle it's reading from the ram twice). With my Ryzen 9 3900X I bought the DDR4 3600

I like it!9/7/2021 2:54:00 PM

Pros: I can game in 4K with settings on high or ultra, depending on the game. Video editing goes faster. Video transcoding also goes faster. Runs great, and I have it undervolted and underclocked. Much faster than my 2060 Super. I won the right to buy it at MSRP through Newegg Shuffle, and it wasn't bundled. Win-Win

Cons: I can't control the RGB with MysticLight 2 or 3 and I refuse to install Dragon. I don't want those pesky Nahimic drivers on my computer ever again. Avoid A-volute Nahimic at all costs. Search the interwebs, you'll see. So, I'm stuck with rainbow RGB. No biggy. I don't usually look inside my computer anyhow. I look at my awesome computer screen with all the pretty colors. This thing is massive. Makes my 2060 Super look like a child

Overall Review: I would totally recommend this. I would have prefered the 3080 TI, but the price is a lot more. This was already eating a big hole in my wallet. I love it though. I'm glad I went for this one instead of the 3070 TI Ventus because I think the heatsinks and fans are better, even if it costs a bit more. Ventus is good too, I bet. My 2060 Super is a Ventus, but these 30 series cards put out some heat, so I did a lot of research on the Gaming X Trio and chose that

It's great!9/4/2021 2:47:51 PM

Pros: Almost everything you could want from a B550 motherboard It doesn't use A-volute Nahimic audio drivers. That's a huge plus. Stay away from Nahimic at all costs. That's why I chose the Bazooka Max

Cons: I wish it had 2 NVMe slots instead of just one. I might have to buy an add-in card, or I may just use a SATA SSD for my storage drive No digital audio out. I plan to use my other computer for audio stuff because it's newer and more powerful and this build is my backup computer that I fixed up(used to be a Dell. I'm sorry), but it would have been nice. I know it's mATX, but I'm slowly getting into music creation and adding some nice gear. Some day I plan to get an amp with a digital input

Overall Review: If you don't need 2 NVMe SSds or a digital audio out, it's a great motherboard!

Nice little case9/4/2021 2:35:59 PM

Pros: It's got great airflow and I love the way it looks

Cons: The pcie tabs on the rear of the case are not the kind you can screw back on. you have to break them off and then you can never put them back on, yet my MB511 has replaceable ones. The metal where you mount a rear fan that's right next to the IO shield/cover was warped a lot. It made installing the motherboard a little bit of a challenge. Definitely not as good of quality as the MB511. The glass doesn't go all the way to the bottom but the MB511 does. It's not bad looking though.

Overall Review: Read my pros and cons and decide for yourself

A-Volute Nahimic audio software causes problems. Stay away from MSI with Nahimic8/9/2021 7:56:18 AM

Pros: It's great, if you don't need audio

Cons: First of all, The Nahimic audio software is like a virus. You think you've removed it all, from 10+ different locations, but it just keeps coming back. Search the web and you'll see so many miserable people. Not only is it just like the most impossible virus, but it also sounds terrible and the volume is so low, unless you use the generic RealTek audio drivers which work great until Nahimic worms is way back onto your computer. I know programming, I have removed viruses. I'm pretty good at accomplishing anything I want to do on a computer, but nobody seems to be able to solve this problem. Why would MSI make its audio driver impossible to remove, just like the worst virus ever? The nahimic audio drivers also don't play well with my softphone I use for work. Whenever Nahimic comes back, I can't hear any incoming calls, yet all the other audio still works. I have lost many hours of work and money because of this thing. I really want to do a class action lawsuit. The software is evil. Do a search. I dare you An 8 pin + 4 pin for the CPU power??? is that normal. The instruction manual could have been much better. The BIOS/UEFI menu is not intuitive at all. I had a heck of a time finding where to turn virtualization on. The RGB is just okay, but I'm not into RGB anyhow.

Overall Review: Stay away from MSI motherboards that use Nahimic audio. I built another computer that doesn't. It's an MSI B450M Bazooka Max Wifi.

I feel bad not giving it 5 stars, but...4/16/2021 11:40:31 AM

Pros: It's an AMD Ryzen 5 4500U at an amazing price and the laptop feels solid and very good. The Ryzen 4500U is a very powerful APU, considering it is an ultralow power APU(the ones that end with U are ultralow power consumption, and the ones that end with H are much faster but also much more electricity and much higher price). I've been waiting for the Ryzen 4000 series laptops to come out for a while. I haven't spent much time with it, but the little bit of time felt mostly great. I bought this as an emergency computer. I work from home, and if something goes wrong with my main computer I can be back to work in minutes and fix the problem later. Also, if the power goes out I can watch a movie or work on one of my personal projects. And I didn't have a laptop anymore as I gave my last one to my wife as a Christmas gift. The top is aluminum(where the screen is). The keyboard doesn't feel mushy like on some laptops. I'm not talking about the keys, but the general area of the center of the keyboard. On some laptops you can see the whole middle of the keyboard area flex a bunch as you're typing, but this one seems really good.500GB SSD at this pricepoint is extremely rare. 256GB is way too small for me.Can be used for gaming. Even plays AAA titles at low settings(not the best experience, but still impressive for integrated graphics)

Cons: What I've noticed, so far:The touchpad feels weird, very weird, like when I click the touchpad button it looks like the touchpad is going to fall off. It doesn't actually seem like it's going to fall off, but it's weird to me and I don't like how the buttons that you click are also part of the touch, so the pointer on the screen moves a little as you are clicking. It's better just to do a virtual click on the pad instead of using the actual buttons. The power adapter connector is extremely thin. I feel like the connector inside the laptop could break easily. Maybe it's an irrational fear. Also, it takes quite a bit of pressure to get it to go in. Then it clicks into place. Maybe this will get easier with time. It really scares me thoughLastly, The screen color angles are terrible, and it's low resolution by today's standards. I knew that going into this purchase. The resolution doesn't bother me. The colors/brightness does a little. The top is a different brightness than the bottom and the slightest movement of my head makes me focus on that. I'm not upset at all, because my last laptop was like that and I knew what I was buying, but I still see it as a reason to lower my rating a tiny bit, and mention it.

Overall Review: The price is unbeatable. I seriously considered buying a second one(for my wife to use), after I got the first one. Her 2 laptops aren't really in need of an upgrade quite yet(I already upgraded to SSDs in her laptops), but I want her to have a great experience while working, instead of just a decent experience. I feel a little guilty because my computers are very powerful and I don't want her to feel like I care more about myself. My desktop PC is a Ryzen 9 3900X with an RTX 2060 Super graphics card, but she just has laptops and one has a i7 7500U and the other is a A12 9720P, so about half as powerful as the Ryzen 5 4500U

It works as advertised1/27/2021 5:39:13 PM

Pros: It's 3600 MHz CL16 and it works. What more do you need to know? UPDATE: I just bought 2 more sticks, First of all, my CPU is really only rated for up to 3200 MHz RAM so I ran into minor stability issues with the first 2 sticks, while running a specific video game, so I changed it to run at 3200 with the timings set to 16-18-18-38 instead of 3600 16-19-19-39 and it's running great! I don't think it's the RAM's fault, just my CPU, plus I don't know what I'm doing when it comes to overclocking ram. This is my first 'build'. I have always just bought OEM computers in the past(Dell, HP, Compaq) Last night I added 2 more sticks so now I have 32GB.. I ran a windows memory diagnostic and no problems running 4 sticks at my custom speed mentioned earlier. The price was pretty good, so I'm satisfied. I also love the way they look in my case. I have a picture with the first 2 sticks I put in a couple months ago.

Cons: none

Overall Review: It's 3600 MHz CL16 and it works. What more do you need to know?

The cables are awful12/6/2020 11:53:21 PM

Pros: It's 850 watts and I originally bought it for a Dell which needed +3.3V@25A, +5V@25A and a combined 3.3v + 5v rail of 150 watts, or something to that effect, and this was the the cheapest one I could find to satisfy that. I ended up using it in a new build instead with a Ryzen 3900X and for now a 2060 Super, but hopefully I can upgrade soon to a better graphics card.

Cons: The cables are very stiff, but also there is a long section near the pluc that has hot glue or somthing and then rubber around that and it's completely inflexible there. I really hate the cables.

Overall Review: read the pros and cons

Great airflow!12/6/2020 11:44:50 PM

Pros: Great airflow and 3 RGB fans included. It replaceable slot covers for the PCIe devices like graphics cards and whatnot. Some cases have the covers that you have to break off and you can never put them back, but this one has slot covers that use a screw to keep it in place.

Cons: The front USB and headphones jack are very tight. It's really hard to get a usb device plugged in and the same with the headphones

Overall Review: You can't beat the airflow for this case. I have a 3900X and RTX 2060 super and the air coming out of the back is cool, not even warm. The fans are quiet in normal operation, which is all I've ever needed, although they can be cranked up pretty high and then they get loud, but at normal operation they are basically silent. I like this case. The one with the acrylic panel looks better but the airflow on this one is unbeatable.

Smoking fast (for PCIe 3.0)12/6/2020 11:33:28 PM

The screws are terrible11/30/2020 1:11:16 PM

Pros: It's a Noctua fan, so it's quiet and powerful

Cons: The screws were cheap and the pat where the philips screwdriver head goes almost stripped out completely while installing this fan. The fan itself also has no threads so the threads on the screws grind into the plastic of the fan. I will never be able to move this fan

Overall Review: I've had other Noctua products but this is my first 120mm fan from them and I am very disappointed with the mounting screws that strip easily, and the lack of threading on the fan itself.

Great so far7/26/2020 11:34:26 AM

Pros: I only buy from newegg, not a 3rd party seller, and it is exactly what I ordered. I was worried they would send some other color, but it's red. It works with my Windows 10 PC via Bluetooth and/or USB. I'm pretty sure it's a real PS4 controller, not an imitation.

Cons: The PS4 pause and select buttons don't stick out at all, so it's hard to find them when you are playing a game and wish to pause. That is Sony's fault though. Also, the grippy parts on the analog sticks are much more slippery than I expected. I never had a PS4 controller and I thought the grippy things were going to be effective but it's kind of slippery.

Overall Review: What else can I say?

It's a 2060 Super. It's overclockable, it even runs faster than the base clock if it feels it's safe without having to overclock it!7/1/2020 9:13:26 PM

Pros: It works great! It has 8GB of vram, and Cuda and Tensor cores so it's the lowest card you can get that's perfect for almost all your deep learning(AI) needs. That's why I got it. Also, RTX voice software came out recently(free from NVidia), so I am working from home and it filters out external noise from my microphone, only picking up voices, so people think I'm in a quiet place, even though I'm not. On top of that it is a huge improvement over my RX 580 in terms of video game performance. It's highly and easily overclockable and also easily underclockable(which I like for low power consumption). It ran poorly the first day with fans running on full blast during gaming but I think maybe that has AI built in because it just got better and better after that. I love it! Even at base clock with no modifications it often ran 150Mhz faster than the listed base and boost clocks, and sometimes higher than that. If it knows it can, it will run fast! I'm sure there are probably better versions than MSI Ventus but the price was better and it works great!

Cons: It's a bit wide. It didn't allow me to use the support mechanism that came with my Dell, but that is really only for when you are transporting the PC. Most PCs don't even have that extra structural support bracket.

Overall Review: Just read my other stuff, if you are too lazy, it's awesome. Get it! If you can afford a 2080 Ti, get that though, lol

near impossible to remove7/1/2020 8:38:14 PM

Pros: It works as expected

Cons: The plastic is so hard on the shell that you have to be the incredible hulk to push hard enough that it pushes the release mechanism so you can remove the cable from your computer

Overall Review: I would say, try to find something that's easy to remove

Half the outlets provide power during an outage7/1/2020 8:37:04 AM

Pros: It keeps my computer, monitor, and gateway(modem) on if the power goes out.

Cons: The first time it happened some stuff stayed on and others did not, and I guess the outlets on one side do not provide power during an outage, so I switched those over and shut off the power in my apartment and this time my stuff stayed on. I think that's kind of lame that some of the outlets don't use the battery

Overall Review: Combine the pros and cons I wrote earlier and you get my total review. Also I haven't had it long so I don't know how log it will last
