Great notebook
Pros: Huge screen, full size keyboard, 10-key a nice addition. Runs everything smoothly. Toshiba customer service was fantastic when I called while installing Win7.
Cons: The touch pad is awful when you are doing a lot of typing, I highly suggest getting an external mouse. As much as I hate the touch pad it would not affect my purchasing decision in the slightest. A $16 MS wireless mouse is a great companion purchase. Oh, and Vista can suck it. Windows 7 runs wonderfully on this machine.
Overall Review: Nothing on the market can touch what this notebook offers for the price, even with student discounts through Dell or HP.
Great overall product, but awful customer support
Pros: Fantastic full sound. Great mic response when it works.
Cons: Poorly designed plastic piece on the mic broke, which makes the mic not stay attached to the headset. I've been trying for a couple of months now to get in touch with someone there to get a replacement. Their customer service is simply non-existent. The one year warranty would be great if you could get in contact with someone that works there to help you out.
Overall Review: My rating would immediately go up to 5 eggs if someone there would get off their eternal coffee break and pick up the phone.
Decent until I had to try to work with Acer support
Pros: Great bang for the buck, until the GTX 1050 dies.
Cons: GTX 1050 died after less than two weeks. Acer customer service is abysmal.
Overall Review: Acer support is the worst I have ever experienced. I specifically purchased this laptop to take on military deployment and needed it for work. They were unwilling to send me a replacement unit even after I offered to pay for it and the shipping, and then just refund me when they got the bad laptop back. I will never buy another Acer product after this fiasco.
