Pros: WD HAS RELEASED A FIRMWARE UPGRADE FOR THE DRIVES - This will solve alot of your "drive dead after ~2 months" problems. Check their site, this drive is one affected.

Cons: kind of a pain but at least the drive isnt junk

Pros: was a good drive when it lasted, fast and had no problems. quiet too.

Cons: BUT...it lasted less then 2 months. it will never die on you during the RMA period, it seems. This is the first WD product ive had that has let me down like this. At least it wasn't a $300 drive.

Overall Review: I would recommend not buying this drive, but if you do, BUY THE WARRANTY!
