Pros: I have used this Model 97457 for quite some time with my Pioneer BDR-208D burner. I have not had a single coaster (approx 200 discs burned so far).

Cons: Price fluctuations - This time around I ordered from Newegg, and unfortunately I found them cheaper someplace else after the fact. So if your trying to save your money - double check your pricing with other sites

Pros: This LG WH14NS40 drive worked fine for 3 years (although it was very lightly used). This seems to be one of the only drives that physically fits in my PC (it isn't as long as other Mfr drives).

Cons: I seriously doubt I have more than 300 hours of use from this drive. Put a Blu-ray in it the other night and it was playing just fine for about 15 minutes, but... then it just froze and would no-longer read/play Blu-ray. Tried both retail and home made disks which were originally burned using this drive, and they all failed. Explorer would just lock up trying to read the disk contents. DVD playback still works ok. Note: This drive had already been flashed to 1.03 firmware. I originally paid $40.98 (from NewEgg) for this drive back in July of 2016.

Overall Review: 14x old stock still on the shelves, and is priced higher than 3 years ago? Newer 16x model available, which also makes me ask why is this price so high? Drive failed out of the blue with very light use. No. I do not recommend this drive.

Overall Review: Nice heavy duty/rugged enclosure. It's actually a little heavier than I expected, but I guess that's a good thing for the ruggedness factor. Using a HP EX900 Plus 2TB drive it meets the stated Speed/USB spec.

Overall Review: Just as I expected from a Samsung drive the initial install, format and basic testing with CrystalDisk is all perfect. I had in on a motherboard briefly for testing and speeds were +7000 but I forgot to save the CrystalDisk info for it. I currently have it installed in a USB-C 20Gbs no name enclosure (looks identical to a Weastlinks) I got elsewhere, and it runs perfect at the Enclosures/Bus max speed. Overall Review: Their cables are the highest quality and have never failed me in the last 35+ years and for that matter I have never had an issue with any Tripp Lite product.

Pros: Lowest cost option I could find for a Blu-Ray drive. It works just fine so far.

Overall Review: It's a shame that newer drives cost ridiculous prices and that pricing is contributing to the demise of the optical drive. These older drives (Mfr date Jan 2013) still function just fine so why should anyone spend big $$$$ on new.
