FSP Group ZEN 400 400W Fanless ATX 2.2V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply
FSP Group ZEN 400 400W Fanless ATX 2.2V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Silence! You will not hear a peep from this item. It truly creates no sound at all. The handsome mesh around the cabling is a nice touch. Plus, it comes with three Velcro cable ties to keep the install nice and clean.

Cons: This thing is heavy. It was heavier than all the other parts of the machine combined.

Overall Review: Keep in mind that the value goes out the window if you plan to install this in to a machine that already has several case fans, loud hard drives, a noisy cpu fan or a noisy gpu fan. It kind of defeats the purpose all together and would be a waste of the extra money that it costs. I chose this PSU because I was building a machine as an audio workstation for a recording studio. In the studio, silence is golden. It came out perfectly. This is would be great in a machine with liquid cooling.

The best of the worst

Trust 14909 Black 88 Normal Keys 16 Function Keys 2.4 GHz Wireless Slim KB-2950 Vista Remote Keyboard
Trust 14909 Black 88 Normal Keys 16 Function Keys 2.4 GHz Wireless Slim KB-2950 Vista Remote Keyboard

Pros: After adjusting the tracking speed on my pc, I realized the orientation of the attached mouse is great! It's very comfortable and perfect for using on your couch or bed to control your media center. The tracking ball is located under your right thumb and the left and right mouse buttons are up on the left and right shoulders of the keyboard, just like the Playstation remote's R and L buttons. It should also be noted that this is the only wireless mouse/keyboard on NewEgg that also has a scrollwheel. The scrollwheel, located where your left thumb rests, was the solitary deal-breaker feature that pushed me away from the more inexpensive alternatives. The function keys attached to this board work fine with Windows Media Player out of the box but not with my choice of media player (VLC Player).

Cons: In addition to the lack of any real in-box documentation, this thing has an overall cheap tactile feel. The plastics are lightweight and if you pick up the board and shake it near your ear, you can hear each of the keys shake in their seating. The trackball feels like it has some extra play and that it too isn't very firmly seated. In fact, I had to return the first one NewEgg sent me because the mouse broke in two days. More importantly, the actual keyboard layout is ridiculous on this thing. Think of the worse laptop keyboard you've ever used and than imagine it being 10x worse. The backspace key is extraordinarily tiny, which is ironic because it will most likely be the key that you attempt to use most because the rest of the keys' size, spacing and action on this board are awful. If you plan to do any more than light web browsing or queuing up media on your the machine you attach this to, may dog help you. The keyboard is more often frustrating than it is productive.

Overall Review: But as an overall controller, this item isn't too bad but I have beef with the price. During my first session with it, it was clear to me that it was not worth it's $79.99 price tag. Should be no more than $49.99. Ask yourself how bad you need the features to determine whether or not YOU think it's worth it. If you really don't feel like you need the scrollwheel, check out the $40 dollar wireless mouse/keyboards available on NewEgg. If I were to judge by their photographs, I would guess that they are a bit more firm.

DIY "Time Capsule" / Plex drive

Western Digital WD Green WD10EARS 1TB 5400 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
Western Digital WD Green WD10EARS 1TB 5400 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: I set this up as an external on a Mac Mini media center with a USB 2.0 enclosure. It runs 24/7 in my house and I use most of it as a Time Machine drive for my whole network. The rest of it I use for hd divx files that are accessed by Plex, with no skipping or jitter.

Cons: None to speak of. Except of course that the moment you buy a hard drive, a larger one get's a price update down to the price you bought yours for. But that's a good thing really.

Works perfectly with the Kodak Zi6

Transcend 16GB Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) Flash Card Model TS16GSDHC6
Transcend 16GB Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) Flash Card Model TS16GSDHC6

Pros: I've only used it in my Kodak Zi6 720p camera, but it works perfectly.

Cons: FAT filesystem chews up almost an entire gig. Kind of lame but I don't think it's the fault of the product.

Overall Review: If you are looking for a good, inexpensive card for your Zi6, I can recommend it.

Perfect for me

C2G 43099 35 ft. HD15 Male to Male Cable with 3.5mm Audio
C2G 43099 35 ft. HD15 Male to Male Cable with 3.5mm Audio

Pros: I am using this cable to get 1280x720 resolution to my 32" 720p native Samsung HD television with a little help from a program called PowerStrip and it works great. True HD resolution direct from the PC to the TV. The attached 3.5mm audio is perfect for me because I use my TVs internal speakers for audio and right next to my TVs VGA input, there is a PC audio 3.5mm input jack. I turned an old shuttle pc in to a h264/Divx playback machine.

Cons: None really.

Overall Review: I wish that the 15 foot version was in stock when I needed this cable. I had to buy 20 extra feet of cable that I didn't really need.
