Sweet Spot of HD's

Pros: Solid performance, large cache, good GB/$ ratio, not too noisy at all (those that are complaining must hear bugs crawling on the wall as well, quit whining). I've been using mine for media storage with reads and writes going on all the time and it has yet to hiccup after a year's worth of that kind of activity.
Cons: None that I can think of.
Overall Review: Don't order OEM products and then complain about not getting cables, screws, mounts, etc! When you've been working with computers for a while, you tend to collect extra cables and whatnot so for those of us in that situation, OEM is perfect. If you're not familiar with the process, or if this is a drive for your first build or whatever, buy the retail version, then step into buying OEM parts later on. Good luck!
If you have Asus or Pioneer look elsewhere

Pros: For a 100 pack of DVDs, the price isn't bad. BUT....
Cons: If you have an Asus/Pioneer drive (such as the Asus 1608P2S or the Pioneer 110 series) don't expect these to burn at 16x without having to jump through some technical hoops. Out of the box, the Asus would only burn at 4x, when I crossflashed it to a Pioneer 110, it burned them at 12x, good but still not 16x. LiteOn/NEC might be ok, I wouldn't know.
Overall Review: This is more an issue of the drive manufacturer than the disks, but if you decide to get these, expect to spend time in a forum figuring out how to make them burn at 16x. Kind of disappointing that Asus and Pioneer don't support these at 16x out of the box.
A Failure on the Part of Linksys

Pros: Small footprint, reasonably easy to set up.
Cons: The reliability is horrendous. As others have said, if you plan on making a lot of connections and actually using the bandwith you pay for, this thing will undoubtedly freeze up. Such applications as Bit-Torrent clients, FTP servers (running at high speed) and multiple connections (like if you have a wireless network set up) will cause this modem to freeze up time and time again, forcing you to power it down and reset it. I could also be wrong, but I do not think this unit will utilize the new speed upgrade rolled out by Comcast and other broadband providers a few months back. I would avoid this unless you're just going to browse the web on a single computer. Linksys is usually good, this was disappointing.
Overall Review: At first I thought my Netgear router was the problem with dropping connections, little did I know it was the modem. I also believe I've been suffering lag in Battlefield 2 as well due to this piece of junk. Seriously, get the D Link or Motorola if you want to save a few bucks, either way you are better off.
Fantastic Buy!

Pros: Dual fans that have an intelligent control (only speed up if it needs it) 500W of stable power with dual 12v rails for overclocking. Price is unbeatable.
Cons: When and if the thing gets hot enough (which can sometimes happen depending on how good the airflow in your case is) the fans go to full speed and are quite noisy. If you have a good case with a few case fans this won't be a problem since the internal fans will never go to full speed. Again the price is unbeatable.
Overall Review: Here's what it's running for me: Athlon 64 X2 4400 o/c 2.42Ghz Asus AV8-Deluxe mobo with 6 USB ports (all used most of the time) and 1 Firewire (also used) 2 Gigs of RAM Two 16X Pioneer DVD-RW drives Two SATA HDs GeForce 6800 Ultra (requires two separate molex connectors since it's a power hog) Even with all that running, I have yet to have a problem with this PSU. I always recommend this unit due to it's notorious reliablity and price point. You just can't beat it.
This is how you should spend your money

Pros: Excellent circuit architecture of AMD, multitasks like a BEAST, runs cool and stable even overclocked, runs games extremely well.
Cons: I wish I had waited a few weeks since the price came down by thirty bucks or so, oh well. Jump on this one!
Overall Review: This is definitely the sweet spot for this line of processor. I edit video and audio and play quite a few games like BF2 and COD2, so the single core FX series was just not going to cut it for me. There are dual core FX now but they are priced out of the range of all but the most spoiled of brats. The x2 4400 is reasonably priced, and boasts the 1MB L2 cache which is extremely important, more so than clock speed! Right now I have mine overclocked to the 4800 speed and it is STABLE. I HAVE NOT HAD ONE LOCK UP at 2.4Ghz. This is with Corsair value RAM. Win XP loads in about 10 seconds flat, and I can have numerous multimedia tasks running with little or no slowdown whatsoever. Go with this one, you won't be sorry.
Crazy Go Nuts!

Pros: It's Corsair, duh.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: Originally I had 1 GB (2x512) of Mushkin Enhanced DDR 400, but the timings would not match up no matter how the settings were changed. Since I wanted to go for 2 GB this time, I decided to go with Corsair. Has worked flawlessly ever since.
