Worth the <$100 hype.
Pros: Comfy, more than sufficient accessories, not heavy, not massive on my 29 year old/youth medium sized head. Plugged them into my iPod straight away and was... disappointed. Then I noticed I was listening to a 128 kbps Blink 182 song and quickly changed it to something with quality. MUCH BETTER. Digital recordings sound fantastic at the least and analog recordings are vivid; chuck in anything Hans Zimmer and composing music will be your next career change. Dare I say, they're better than some of my rich friends' B**ts Audio? Yes, they for sure are; one friend is returning his and picking up these puppies. No, they aren't studio, but I'll tell you they are better than some studio cans I've put on and they are FOR SURE better than anything sub-studio I've tried at other local, big names retailers. This is where my title comes in: they are definitely worth the sub $100 cost. My wife is trying them now and won't give them back, bless her thieving heart.
Cons: Passive noise cancelling is passive. It took me a solid minute to remove the protective boxing from the outside box, but this is a good thing.
Overall Review: Strong factory smell out of the box? I already had nausea and the runs when I opened it so the factory smell got to me. Not a biggy, better than smelling like a dumpster, pun intended. Packaging is efficient.
Solid Sound Blaster
Pros: Bang for your buck is hard surpassed by this puppy. Destroys my 2014 onboard mobo sound card; I'm referring to sound quality here. I threw in some lossless audio files and I couldn't believe the sound I was missing before which was indiscernible before. It should be noted that I am not an audiophile and this won't compare to something in the $200 range. This will give you a noticeable, positive difference when compared to your onboard sound and the price is completely worth it.
Cons: Beware this does NOT have Intel HD, which means it won't connect to your front audio jacks without some extending cables or an appropriate adaptor, both of which can be found online. Spend a few extra bucks if that's a worry or a hassle.
Overall Review: Sound Blaster quality. Great additional software. Installs on Win 7 x64 no problems. Do yourself a favor and install drivers and software from manufacturer's website, as it is still updating drivers, despite the fact this card is coming up on 10 years old.
Does as it says
Pros: Screaming fast. I got it for my budget computer and it works flawlessly, overclocking and all. A huge improvement over my Core 2 Duo would be an understatement. Decided not to invest in hyper-threading and this certainly does the job for all my video, gaming and OCing needs.
Cons: None whatsoever.
Overall Review: The price is just right, a huge bang for your buck. I love single-threaded Haswell technology, as it blows existing competition out of the water.
