Pros: Small, sturdy feeling metal case.
Cons: Power port on the SIDE of all things...
Mine simply did not work; the lights come on in the normal way, but none of the connected devices (printers, computers) could see each other on the network.
Overall Review: I have had good luck with D-Link in the past, so I anticipate that I will have better luck with a replacement. I have started the RMA process, and will update this review if the new one behaves better.
Pros: Very fast, great bargain when they work...
Cons: I purchased 4 of these to use as a stripe set in a new build, and 2 have failed so far.
Pros: Great price, quality PSU.
Cons: Rebate. Another rebate where you better make sure you dot every I and cross every t because they will try to find and excuse to deny it. My printer was low on ink, but I checked the invoice before sending and know for a fact that everything was readable. They still tried to say that they were unable verify the date on the invoice and denied my rebate the first time.
Pros: Cheap, newegg has fabulous customer service.
Cons: Constantly disconnects. Repeatedly followed instructions to the letter, and still could not keep it working for more than a minute without it disconnecting. I RMA'd the first one, and experienced identical results with the replacement so sent it back for a refund. Don't quite know how this is possible, but it even even corrupted my my standard mouse and keyboard drivers somehow, forcing my to reset my system to an earlier date to get them back working. I replaced with a microsoft (item # N82E16823109236) that worked perfect, first time, out of the box.
Overall Review: In fairness, this device had decent reviews, so it is possible that I simply had bad luck with 2 lemons in a row.
Pros: Keeps my Phenom II 965 frosty!
Cons: Big... like any good cooler.
Overall Review: With the CPU overclocked to 3.8 GHZ, I can't get the temp higher than about 120 degrees fahrenheit; idles around 95 or so.
Pros: Newegg has a fairly straight forward return process.
Cons: Utterly unable to make work.
Overall Review: Despite numerous and varried attempts, I was unable to make this device work. I attempted RAID 5 (my original intended use), RAID 0 and even RAID 10, but each ended with error beeps. I did not achieve a single successful installation onto a set of hard drives that I have been using successfully for months (and using currently) on my motherboard's built in controller; I now feel that the negative reviews I ignored were well informed. I threw Highpoing a bone with the second egg only because I do not have extensive experience with RAID controllers. I did research extensively, however, as well as seek advice from more experienced technicians, and I am unable to find any fault with my installation process.
Pros: Great cable at a good price
Pros: It's a hard drive, it works, it has a 5 year warranty.
Cons: None that I can think of.
Overall Review: I can't quite figure out why I payed 54.99 but it is now listed at 129.99; I am glad that I payed the former, however.
Pros: cheap, works, who can complain.
Overall Review: Have not been able to test all functions, (DVD burning, DL DVD burning etc.), but, as a rule, these things work or they don't (at least in my experience.)
Pros: Although what I do is hardly a severe test, I have not been able to make this card work up a sweat in the least. 2 gigs for a reasonble price and a free game to boot.
Cons: I am somewhat concerned about the fact that they ask you to remove a sticker labeled "removal will void warranty" (not an exact quote) to redeem the rebate.
Pros: Good graphics, free, interesting and fun.
Cons: Note my "other thoughts"
Overall Review: I hesitate to call this a con because I am not a gamer, but I found it difficult to remember all of the "key bindings". More experienced gamers may hve more input on how typical this aspect is.
Pros: Works. Who can complain.
Pros: Comfortable, excellent sound quality, great range, good battery life.
Cons: Rubber part disintigrated in less then a year, but AFTER the warranty expired. Somewhat limitied volume...poor if you work in a noisy environment.
Overall Review: I liked this headset quite alot, until about 3 months ago. I'm pretty gentle with my electronics, so I was surprised when I saw the rubber seperating from the part of the device that goes behind the ear. Over the period of about a month, this progressed and then the rest of the rubber piece connecting to the mic boom began to disintigrate until the thing was completely unuseable...although it still worked electronically. My skin is somewhat oily, but not exceptionally, so I feel that I must count this as a serious defect in an otherwise nice product. I found this unacceptable, out of warranty or not, and wrote to Plantronics about it. Their reply was that they would happily repair or replace it...if it was still under warranty. This leads me to wonder if they even actually read my message. since I clearly told them how long I had owned and realized that it was out of warranty.
