Pros: At the originally advertised price you couldn’t beat this card on a “bang for the buck” basis

Cons: I bought this card from New Egg when it was first out and got a good deal on it. At the originally advertised price this card is a great deal but at it’s current higher price it’s not worth it. Wait for the price to come back down or go for the 8800GT

Overall Review: Submitted a review before but it was never posted, and I never received any explanation for that. If you are on a tight budget get a HD3850. if you can afford the current price of the HD3870 then pop a few more bucks and go 8800GT

Pros: Cools well on non over clocked Q6600 Low price point

Cons: The standard heat sink installation method adopted by Intel (and this cooler) is a travesty and a joke. Hard enough to get the pins to engage and hold on a stock Intel cooler where you have easy access to the plungers, this cooler is worse. The pins are covered by either the fan or the fins of the heat sink making it even harder to engage the pins Eventually I got this heat sink attached but it left me with a very uneasy feeling. Even with the pins engaged I feel it won’t take much to knock it loose. And if only one of the pins comes loose you wouldn’t notice until your system started to heat up. Overall I simply feel this retention method is a total failure and in future I will always use a system that includes a backing plate and screws.

Overall Review: Apart from the joke of a retention method, this heat sink appears to be working well and keeping a Q6600 CPU at around 32 c at idle. I’m just not confident the thing will stay put. You get what you pay for I guess but my suggestion is to look for a cooler that using a backing plate and screws. I know that means you will need to remove the motherboard to install the cooler but isn’t it worth the peach of mind you don’t get with the stock retention method? Again I have no knock on the cooling properties of this product, or the price I simply would not recommend it for the reasons previously stated. Then again I wouldn’t recommend ANY cooler with this retention method.

Overall Review: What a great price for a 23” monitor with 1920 x 1080 resolution. No it’s not LED backlit but then neither was my old Samsung 19”. I’m one of those people that believes “if something sounds too good to be true it usually is”, so I was somewhat concerned that this monitor might not be a good buy. I took a chance on it based on the reviews here, the majority of which were very good. Perhaps I’m not as picky as some people might be when it comes to monitors. I’m not doing CAD or graphic design work, only gaming, web surfing, and light MS Office use. For those things I must say that I am extremely pleased with this purchase. The monitor arrived quickly as I have all my purchases shipped to my work address which is very close to New Egg’s warehouse. Overall Review: Have owned this mouse for 6 months. It was an impulse buy when I was at Best Buy one day. When I first set this up it was GREAT. It took a bit of time to get used to the feel of the mouse but after using it a while I enjoyed the overall feel of it. Unfortunately the quality is sub standard and as others have mentioned the finish, which looks like brushed aluminum, started to wear off revealing the smooth plastic underneath. Extremely UGLY but not the worst of the issues I encountered. Starting after about 4 months after I installed the mouse I started having problems. It would work fine for a while but at random times it would simply stop responding or respond very poorly. Move the mouse and the cursor would barley budge. This happened more and more frequently until one night while raiding I ripped this mouse out and replaced it with my old Logitec 510. Overall Review: Will be putting in a new HDD tonight and a fresh install of the OS, hope this will work off a fresh install but what a pain. POOR support, though New Egg is not the problem there.

Pros: Price is excellent for a 1GB HD4870 Performance in games is superior to my Previous HD4870 512 Card Cooling is pleasantly quiet.

Cons: While the cooling on this card is quiet it doesn’t cool as well as the stock cooler did on my HD4870 512

Overall Review: I purchased this card when the fan on my otherwise perfectly working HD 4870 512 started to go out. I chose this model because of the “Non Standard/Reference” heat sink design. While the reference heat sink on my old 4870 had done an excellent job of cooling that card (until the bearing started to go out on the fan) it was LOUD. I was hoping this would be much quieter and it is. The down side to the quite cooling is that it doesn’t cool as well as the reference heat sink. It’s still cools within acceptable levels though so I didn’t mark this product down. If you want a relatively quiet video card that will also run games well this is a good choice. Not a good choice if you have a case with poor air flow or your system is located in a very warm environment.
