Shhhhh, whispering quiet!

Pros: Extremely quiet to a point that it almost seems to be off. I like the auto RPM adjustment for cooling via the 4-pin connector. Tested with my ASUS M2N-SLI, but I can see an ASUS M3A78-EM on the horizon for media center use.
Cons: Too bad there wasn't a rebate, but then too it didn't cost much. So I guess I have none!
Overall Review: I'f you're looking at building a HTPC and need an extremely quiet cooler that is ultra low profile then I highly recommend this one. After all what would you expect from the Thermaltake name!
An ASUS Update

Pros: Well I purchased this board for everyday & media center usage which is to replace a dinosaur in hibernation now being used. Since it’s to be used for media center purposes it has and must be extremely quiet as possible. This can be achieve by using the AMD/ASUS Cool & Quiet technology plus with the assistance of silent fans to keep everything cool and healthy. Below is what has been project for this system and is already on-hand waiting assembly. Mobo: ASUS M4A88TD-M/USB3 Case: Aerocool M40 w/120mm Scythe S-Flex & 3 Gelid Silent 80mm case fans PSU: CoolMax CU650W modular CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 970 Black Edition-3.5GHz-140W CPU Cooler: Scythe Katana 3 Mem: A-DATA XPG Gaming Series 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 2000 Optical Drives: ASUS DRW-24B3LT WiFi Adapter: Zonet ZEW1642S Card Reader: Sabrent CRW-UINB Disk Drives: Samsung 470 Series 64GB SATA II SSD (for Win7 64bit & Office 2010), Samsung SpinPoint EcoGreen: 1TB, 32 MB Cache, 5400 RPM, SATA 3 Gb/s.
Cons: It was an open-box version which came with no manual or driver diskette. Newegg get kudos for packaging!
Overall Review: Pay the extra cents for the retail package to save time in the long run. I have to say that AMD, ASUS, and Newegg rocks!
ASUS Strikes Again

Pros: This mobo was chosen for a build for daily/media center usage in a small compact case that have been carefully planned for ultra silence. Thanks to the AMD/ASUS Cool & Quiet technology this will be achieved. Since this is an ASUS product name and quality pretty much speaks for itself. This mobo is pack with everything that the average novice to the most advanced PC user will need when expanding their system. I chose this board because of the HDMI, SATA 6Gb, USB 3.0, m-ATX format, and technological growth capabilities. So as a certified A+, Net+, Sec+, & EIA CST technician I'd suggest anyone looking to build a system to take a close look at this mobo!
Cons: I bought an openbox version to save a few coins since I'm building the system for a loved one, but that was a big mistake and lesson learned. Everything was in tact and Newegg boxed it really well, but to me without the drivers and manual it REALLY wasn't worth the savings. So if I had to do it over again I'd spend full price gladly for the retail version. I know the drivers can be downloaded via the ASUS support site, but I just like to have everything readily available.
Overall Review: AMD, ASUS, Newegg my hat is off to you all for such great job, service, and products offered! Very seldom can you go wrong with them. So I'd say in closing; let's crack a keg and give a salute to Newegg!
Samsung Strikes Again 5*****

Pros: As always Samsung comes through with style and elegance. I purchase the 64Gb SSD with the intention of using it for my media center, but after getting a super deal on the 128GB model I've decided to use this one for a super silent desktop replacement. The case is sleek an looks much better than many others on the market. The performance rocks. I haven't fully tested it, but the quality speaks for itself. This drive appears to be faster than my Mtron PRO 16GB that I had previously owned.
Cons: Not an SLC, but it would have been nice. Newegg kicked up the price from $99 to $129.99 without warning. Sorry I didn't look at the Samsung SSD sooner to save $39.
Overall Review: Well my ending thoughts is that Newegg and Samsung both rocks!
My Zonet Experience

Pros: These cards are pretty much novice proof and it doesn't take special knowledge since they are plug & play. The software and configuration setup is very easy. The reception is great on these cards. I bought 2 for different systems; a Windows XP gamer and a Windows 7 64bit Media Center. The gamer is due a refresh/upgrade.
Cons: It's a wireless network card so people should expect too much.
Overall Review: Maybe Zonet could research to see if adding and additional antenna could boost the signal range even further.
PNY Soars

Pros: I purchased this memory for my ASUS W1N and it has made a heck of a difference in the performance as I knew it would have. The service provided by Newegg was excellent as in 98% percent of purchases. Thank Newegg and thanks to PNY also!
Cons: At the moment I can't find any with the product, but it would have been nice to be able to pre-register for the rebate online as some others offer.
Overall Review: Great product and keep up the excellent work for I'll always return!
