Great Card, just get the right drivers
Pros: Great Card! Been building computers for 10 years and this is the best card that I have owned. Popped it in and after about an hour of troubleshooting I was golden. Runs Vista very well and brought my computer's score from a 2.0 to a 4.3! Plays F.E.A.R, Doom3, Far Cry very well with full settings at 1280x1024. Recommended for an aging AGP system.
Cons: ATI Drivers caused my monitor to go blank. Couldn't get back into Vista without going to safe mode. I uninstalled the ATI drivers, went to HIS and got their drivers, waited an hour for their SLOW website to download. After that I was up and running. I never could quite figure out why ATI's drivers were only 78MB and HIS's drivers were 127MB. They both look the same when you install them.
Overall Review: For those who say they cannot get the RAM past 400MHz; DUH! It's DDR. You take the 400MHz and multiply it by two (800). That's why they call it Double Data Rate memory. The card is great. Just make sure that you get the HIS drivers. You might have to wait longer, as their site only transfers at about 60Mb/s, but it's worth it for a stable system. Athlon XP 3200+, 1GB DDR400, 250GB SATA2 HD, 520 Watt PSU.
Would be nice if it worked.
Pros: Design.
Cons: Doesn't keep beer cold enough. Thermostat says 38 degrees. Beer is 55-60 degrees.
Overall Review: My wife bought this for me last May (2013). When I got it, I was ecstatic about it. I went out and bought my first keg, which was Newcastle. Put the keg in and waited for it to get cool. I waited 24 hours like it said. Then I went for the fist pour and nothing but foam came out. That was because the beer wasn't cold. So I waited another 24 hours and the same thing. So I contacted Edgestar about the problem and they gave me some tips, like make sure there is enough room behind the kegerator for air flow and make sure you chill the keg beforehand. I did all that and still had 60 degree beer. So they sent me a cooling node to replace the one that is in the unit. There were no instructions, just "take a look at this YouTube video for a different model and see if that will help." So I did end up replacing the cooling node by myself. I started over with a new chilled keg and same thing; 60 degree beer after 24 hours. The keg had been refrigerated for two days in the fridge beforehand. So then I just shelved the thing and basically forgot about it until yesterday when I contacted support again to see if they could help with the problem (Feb. 2014, still within the 1 year warranty). They told me that there is only a 90 day warranty on the labor and that I would have to pay $75 in labor to have them fix it. Otherwise I would have to take it to a small appliance repair shop and let them fix it (which I would have to pay them labor for). The parts are covered for a year, but nothing else. So in short, their support sucks. They are unresponsive and not helpful at all. I would recommend the Krups model if you just want to get pressurized kegs. If you want to have your own kegs, then you will have to find a model that will work, but I wouldn't suggest anything made by Edgestar. I'm an IT guy and I am very good with electronics, so I'm going to try to fix this myself.
Works well!
Overall Review: I bought these to put in my Synology DS220+. They were replacing some 4TB WD400F9YZ drives that were running out of space. The drives arrived quickly and were wrapped in large bubble, bubble wrap. Both drives worked when powered on and have successfully rebuild the array. People say they are noisy, but they are WAY quieter than the WDs that I pulled out. Yeah, you can hear the heads move around every now and then, but they aren't that loud. Overall, I'm glad I got 14TB drives for the price that I did, compared to buying a new drive that would have cost three times as much. And with a 5 year warranty, if one dies, it's no big deal.
Works
Pros: Works as expected on my Canon Rebel XTi. Have not had any problems with it whatsoever!
Cons: None
Wow!
Pros: They sound great! I have a set of Sony earbuds, but these sound way better. I know that full size headphones do sound better than earbuds, but man, these really impress! I listen to a variety of music and these perform well in all genres. (drum and bass, rock, rap, trance)
Cons: If the music is not recorded well, you can get too much bass. But you would need to adjust your EQ for those songs. However, if you listen to a song that is encoded into lossless FLAC, then they sound unbelievable. I'm using the cord wrap because the cord is LONG. But I like that. It's better to have too much cord, than not enough.
Overall Review: These are great headphones all around. I have been wearing them for about an hour now and still have no pain. I bought these yesterday afternoon at 2pm (CST) and they are here today! Thanks Newegg for the fast shipping!
Works Great
Pros: I do some photography on the side and this works great in my Canon Rebel XTi (400D). I haven't had one problem out of it.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Writes and reads fast!
