Overall Review: In short, you get what you pay for. I bought this because it was a cost-effective way to get into the ultra-wide curved monitor game. This monitor sports a decent picture and refresh rate, but getting it to work was hell. I tried every connection imaginable. HDMI? no 3440x1440 and no higher than 60Hz. Full size DisplayPort? Not recognized. DVI? Not recognized. Mini DisplayPort to HDMI? No 3440x1440 and only 60Hz. I was about to return it as defective because I thought the ports weren’t operational. I literally had the return label ready to print and said what the hell, let’s try Mini DisplayPort to full DisplayPort. BOOM! Full 3440x1440 at 100Hz. That’s great, and I’m keeping the monitor, but I’ve got to wonder: what will happen when I upgrade my computer. For example, to a USB-C only machine. The monitor may turn into worthless junk. So I can’t recommend this. In fact, I’d stay away. Pay the extra few hundred $$ for a higher quality piece of hardware. Oh, and Acer has apparently stopped actively supporting the monitor because there’s no Win10 driver. Again, beware. Consider yourself warned
