Just works

Kingston ValueRAM 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Model KVR1333D3N9K2/4G
Kingston ValueRAM 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Model KVR1333D3N9K2/4G

Pros: No bling tax, plug and play with a very picky dp45sg mb, the newer lot numbers are now low profile.

Cons: None, works as advertised.

Overall Review: The new low profile design is a plus for clearance and airflow, could be a minus if you were buying more and expected it to match the same part number you bought 6 months ago. Not really a con, more of an aesthetic nit pick since there's nothing in the product description.

Noctua NH-C14 140mm x 2 SSO CPU Cooler
Noctua NH-C14 140mm x 2 SSO CPU Cooler

Pros: Quality construction, sturdy mounting system with good contact, extra airflow over vrm and other hot mb components. Doesn't interfere with side case fans.

Cons: Sort of depends on your build, but it's pretty wide. It overhangs the first two ram slots on my board, might not be compatable with some tall ram heatsinks.

Overall Review: A tower version will give you lower cpu temps than a down blowing model, but I was willing to give that up for better board component cooling. Even with this config, my q9650 load temps haven't gone over 60c since I installed it and my NB and VRM temps are all down.

Kingston ValueRAM 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Model KVR1333D3N9K2/4G

Pros: Plug and play in a picky intel DP45sg motherboard. The latest batch I bought is shorter in height than the same part number from earlier batches. No performance difference, but seems like a plus for airflow and CPU cooler clearance. The Price.

Cons: None

Overall Review: No bling, inexpensive,(at least for now), just works

Works great in some boards

Crucial 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model CT2KIT25664BA1339
Crucial 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model CT2KIT25664BA1339

Pros: Solid ram for normal use, no point paying extra for heatsinks if you aren't OC'ing

Cons: Listed on manufacturer's site as compatable with Intel DP45SG motherboards, refused to boot when installed. More a picky board issue than a ram issue, but still annoying.

Overall Review: Wouldn't have gigged it at all if it had worked as stated according to the ram configurator. However, it was plug and play in a gigabyte h55 board and runs great. Would buy again for the h55 board. Just beware of picky boards.

L3 cache

Comments: Lego, L3 cache is basically just very fast memory on the chip itself that runs at the same frequency as the processor,(ie 3.2ghz on this model). The thought is that more on-die cache makes the over-all process faster since the cpu doesn't have to turn to slower, off-die memory,(system ram). The benchmarks I've seen so far,(Tomshardware.com), put this chip a bit ahead of the new Athalon FX, but not in all areas. I'm sure others have read reviews that state otherwise. Basically it comes down to how much do you want to spend to have the newest, fastest, etc, etc. Personally, I think it's sort of on the pricey side, but that's just my opinion.

Comments: I don't understand why you had to use a white sheet of paper to use your mouse, I'm using my desk,(light brown), and a black and grey mouse pad as we speek without any problems. I have three of these now and haven't had any problems. They may not track well enough for extreme gaming use, but work fine for everything else. I've even used them playing Medal of Honor without any real difficulties. You really can't beat this mouse for the price
